She was the family matriarch and spiritual leader and loved her family and everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Burl Westfall of Sutton; son, Clyde Burl "Sonny" Westfall Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Durham, N.C; five daughters, Patsy Rose and husband, Vernon, of Sutton, Carol Sue Slaton of Rogersville, Ala., Florence "Topsy" Scarberry of Charleston, Alice Mae Smallwood and husband, Donald and Tiffany Westfall of Sutton; brother, William Conner of Cross Lanes; sisters, Dollie Butcher and Betty Jo King of Charleston and Phyllis Jean Fields of Mantua, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Polemic Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Tinney Cemetery, near Sutton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064, or the Sutton Public Library, Fourth Street, Sutton, WV 26601. "Patty" Cameron on February 18, 1961.4,5 Rev. Earl David Conner died on August 17, 2013 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, at age 72.4,5 He Rev. Earl D. Conner, 72, of Olmsted Township, OH, went home to be with The Lord unexpectedly on Saturday August 17, 2013 at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born December 7, 1940 in Gassaway, West Virginia. He was the owner and operator of Conner & Son Excavating in Olmsted Township which he founded in 1975. Rev. Conner was ordained in 1966 and remained active in ministry up until the time of his death. He served as pastor of several congregations including Lodi Baptist Church in Lodi, OH, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Amherst, OH, and for the past two years he has been the pastor of North Lake Missionary Baptist Church in Amherst. He also served faithfully for over 20 years as the Director of Music at Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville, OH. He loved music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. Brother Earl had been a member of several area gospel quartets. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia “Patty” (nee Cameron); two daughters, Marlene Conner of Olmsted Township and Vickie Carpenter (James) of North Olmsted, OH; three sons, Douglas Conner (Sabrina) of Elyria, OH, Daniel Conner (Michelle) of Courtland, OH and Joseph Meyers (Becky) of Columbia Station, OH; one granddaughter; 11 grandsons; two sisters, Wilda Dixon (Bob) of Charleston, WV and Brenda Snyder of FL; and by one brother, Carl Conner (Diane) of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Cleo (nee Knight) Conner; and by two sisters, Pauline Brown and Wanda Hoover. Services were held on Thursday August 22, 2013 at 10:00am at Midway Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Keesee, pastor of Midway Baptist Church, officiated. The burial was at 2:30pm on that same Thursday at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Olmsted Falls, OH. The family suggests that, memorial contributions in his name, be made to the missions fund of either North Lake Missionary Baptist Church or Faith Baptist Temple. Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, OH, is serving the family. on September 24, 2013.4
