Conner and his wife, Jackie, also of Charlottesville; four brothers, Lemeul Conner and his wife, Geneva of Natural Bridge, Wyatt Conner and his wife, Betty Ann of Dixon, Miss., Herschel Conner and his wife, Charlene of Catawba, and Guy Conner and his wife, Marjorie of Fincastle; two granddaughters, Hannah and Jessica Conner of Charlottesville. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at the Mount Union Cemetery in Troutville. on February 27, 2000.¹

     Herschel Wayne Conner was born on March 26, 1939 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^2,3,4 He married Reba Charlene Hix, daughter of Russell Norvel Hix and Mary Ressie Margaret Hutchinson, on November 4, 1961 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^5,1,2,11 Herschel Wayne Conner died on January 15, 2021 at Virginia at age 81.⁴ He Herschel Wayne Conner, 81, of Catawba, Virginia, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. He was born on March 26, 1939, to Earl A. and Glenna Rhodes Conner. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Dallas, Lemuel, and Wyatt; and his daughter, Alice Marie. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Charlene; his daughter, Lisa and her husband, Jimmy, and granddaughter, Branda Elizabeth; his son, Jeff and his wife, Wendy, and grandsons, Deaton and Dillon, and granddaughter, Jamie. He is also survived by one brother, Guy R. Conner; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many special friends. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a Christian and a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. He loved life and helping people. on January 17, 2021.⁴

     Hettie Bernice Hagy was buried at Mount Union Cemetery, intersection of Daleville Road & Blacksburg Road, Daleville, Botetourt Co., Virginia.^2,4 She was born on April 20, 1930 at Grundy, Buchanan Co., Virginia.^2,4,5 She married Jerry Dallas Conner, son of Earl Arlington Conner and Ada Glenna Rhodes, on April 15, 1954 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 As of April 15, 1954,her married name was Conner.³ Hettie Bernice Hagy died on June 19, 2014 at Charlottesville, Virginia, at age 84.^2,4,6 She Bernice Hagy Conner of Charlottesville went to be with the Lord June 19, 2014, at the Martha Jefferson House. Bernice was born April 20, 1930, in Buchanan County, Grundy, to the late Stewart and Pearl Nichols Hagy. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Dallas Conner. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Jerry and Ralph Hagy; and two sisters, Lena Keen and Rosa Smith. She leaves behind her son, Mark Conner and his wife, Jacqueline; two granddaughters, Hannah and Jessica, who brought great joy to her life. Also surviving is one sister, Bess Koehn; and several nieces and nephews; and numerous sisters-in-law, including Geneva and Marjorie Conner and Juanita Hagy, with whom she shared a special bond. And last but not least, a special friend Jenny Ryalls her "Green Thumb Cousin". A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Castle officiating. A graveside service will be held at the Mt. Union Cemetery, Troutville.      Betty Ann Wiles was buried at Pisgah Cemetery, Dixon, Pulaski Co., Missouri.^2,3 Her Social Security Number was 430-74-8798.¹ She Betty Ann Conner of Dixon was born December 8, 1937 at Hardy, Arkansas, a daughter of Truman Leonard and Norma Mae Biggers Wiles, and departed this life at 9:59 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2001 in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia. Mrs. Conner had attained the age of 63 years, 2 months and 28 days. Mrs. Conner was united in marriage on January 4, 1958 at Chesterfield, South Carolina, to Wyatt Nelson Conner, and to this union five children were born. She was preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law, Wyatt Lynn Conner on May 9, 1987, and Myra Lois Conner in 1988; and her father in 1981. Mrs. Conner was a member of the Pisgah Baptist Church near Dixon and the Women’s Missionary Union of the church. She was active in church work being a Sunday school teacher, a church choir member, and a Vacation Bible School worker. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and a volunteer worker at the Waynesville Nursing Center. Mrs. Conner was a devoted homemaker for all her working life and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her dear family. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Conner include: her husband, Wyatt Conner of the home near Dixon; three sons, Danny Paul Conner, Riverside, California, Jerry Dillon and wife Sherry Conner, Dixon, and Wyatt Lynn Conner, Jr., Dixon; one daughter, Glenna Mae and husband Kevin Lee Alsup, West Plains; her mother, Norma Mae Wiles, Hardy, Arkansas; five brothers, Leonard Wiles, Williford, Arkansas, Eugene Wiles, Gulfport, Mississippi, Raymond Wiles, Mountain View, Arkansas, Roy Wiles, Cherokee Village, Arkansas and Travis Wiles, Ash Flat, Arkansas; two sisters, Janelta Tipton, Hidden Valley, Arkansas and Naomi Martin, Ozark; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Kevin Alsup, Jarryd Keith Alsup, Makenzie Jean-Ann Alsup, Wyatt Lynn Conner, Jr., Nelson Lee Conner, Rebecca Ann Conner and Chelsey Leann Geri Smith; and many other relatives and friends. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, Mrs. Conner will indeed be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon.      Marjorie Ann Snider was born on October 29, 1943 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.⁵ She married Russell Guy Conner, son of Earl Arlington Conner and Ada Glenna Rhodes, on July 6, 1963 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4 As of July 6, 1963,her married name was Conner.¹ Marjorie Ann Snider died on November 28, 2018 at Virginia at age 75.⁴ She Marjorie Ann Snider Conner, 75, of Fincastle, Va., passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Mary Kern Snider. She retired from the Botetourt County School System with over 32 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Russell Guy Conner; son, Todd Conner; daughter, Dorcas Conner Gardner and husband, John; son, Seth Conner and wife, Carrie; and numerous grandchildren. on November 30, 2018.⁴

     Gail Anne Cyrus was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Jefferson Co., Colorado.³ She was born on November 7, 1969 at Wheatridge Co., Colorado.^1,3 She married Scott Anthony Conner, son of Lemuel Leek Conner and Geneva Webb, on July 20, 1991 at Rockbridge Co., Virginia.^1,2 As of July 20, 1991,her married name was Conner.¹ Gail Anne Cyrus died on February 8, 2017 at Virginia at age 47.^2,3 She Gail Anne Conner, age 47, originally from Arvada, Colorado departed this life on February 8, 2017. She is survived by her husband Scott, sons James Michael Cyrus and Troy Allen-Lee Conner and daughters Kayla Rene Conner and Natalie Marie Conner. Mother Ruth Anne Cyrus, brother Daniel Lee Cyrus, and sister Nancy Lyn Marlett. She was preceded in death by her father Lee Irving Cyrus and her sister Tamela Jane Cyrus. Gail served her country in the United States Navy from 21 November 1988 through 29 April 1994. She was employed by William and Mary University, Williamsburg, Virginia. Interment will be in Wheatridge, Colorado at a later date. on February 14, 2017.²
