     Lillian Virginia Todd Asheville - Lillian Virginia Todd Taylor, 92, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Lillian started singing solos in church when she was 5 years old, and sang until the age of 90. She was a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and directed many Christmas programs, some of which she wrote herself. She wrote many songs and poems, and sang most of the songs in her local church. She was the President of the Ladies Auxiliary at Biltmore Church of God, where she was a faithful member for many, many years. For the past 10 years, she had been a member of the Open Door Cathedral. Lillian and her sisters were very active and involved in the American War Mothers. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lillian was the daughter of the late Mack Arthur and Ida Elizabeth Creasman Todd. She was also preceded in death by a son, Audrey Samuel Taylor; grandson, Timothy Taylor; sisters: Mary Crawford, Lucy Cole, Alma Cox, Martha Fulgham, Clara Jones, and Lola Powers; and brothers: George, Doyce, Mack and Edwin Todd. He loved to fish, go camping and work in his garden. He had a love for the outdoors.
