Known by many names, Addie, Nannie, Shorty, Ann B, Annie, Nana, Nan, Aunt Nannie, Mamma, and Mom, she loved taking care of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Her hobbies were pitching horseshoes, sewing, card playing, cooking and most of all church work. Ann was proudly a Christian and a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church for 60 some years where she served as choir director, music committee member and chair, Sunday School teacher, Awana Coach, and financial secretary. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Joel Conner, her parents Douglas and Ethel Lowe, brothers Berkley Lowe, Edward Lowe, Doug Lowe, and Rev. James Lowe. Ann is survived by: a brother, Rev. Donald A. Lowe; a sister, Ruth Loving; and a sister-in-law Rita Lowe; all of Beckley; her daughter, Jo Ellen Conner Dangerfield, grandson Joseph Dangerfield, (Ami), and their children Conner, Piper and Jillian; granddaughter Anna Dangerfield Frost and grandson, Noah; her daughter, Cathy Conner Young, husband Ralph, grandsons Clint Young (Jackie Smith), Joel Young (Tiffany Garrison) and their son, Christian, and granddaughter, Ashton Young; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends with whom she remained in contact. The combined visitation / service will be held on Friday, September 12 at Fayetteville Baptist Church. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with the service beginning at 12 noon, officiated by Rev. David Sneed and Rev. Ron George Jr. Burial, immediately following the service, will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. on September 11, 2014.3

Interment will be in Fairview. Mr. Chatham was born in Lock Haven, Pa., December 21, 1849. He became an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1870. He came to Roanoke in 1882 when the Shenandoah Valley railway was being built and was employed as a conductor until 1885 when he went to Kansas. He was a conductor on the Norfolk and Western from 1891 until twelve years ago when he was retired because of ill health. on June 11, 1925.2

Vernon, died 10:27 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Kindred Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born Sunday, Jan. 3, 1926, in Charleston, W. Va., the son of Roy Douglas and Minnie Pearl (Jackson) Jones. He married Evelyn Jones on Aug. 29, 1948, in Garten, W. Va; she preceded him in death Nov. 4, 2002, after 54 years of marriage. He is survived by a son, Tim Jones and wife Lori of Laura, Ohio; a daughter, Donita Love and husband Mark of Crestwood, Ky; four grandchildren, Harmony Aquino and husband Craig, Bryan Jones and wife Sheena, Mandy Hughs and husband Joshua and Katy Love; and a sister, Ardith Huffman of Bradenton, Fla. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mae June Jones; and a brother, Roy Douglas Jones Jr. Don served our country in the United States Army-Air Force in World War II. He worked as a mine manager for Inland Steel Coal Company and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Jones was an avid coal company scrip collector. He loved reading and supporting local sports teams. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Second Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Jim Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn. The chaplain of the Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 141 will conduct a flag presentation service at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at the church. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library or the Mt. Vernon Township High School athletics department and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. on June 6, 2016.2

Rigney, Ridgeway and a nephew, Dr. Edward Fallin, Montpelier. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000 at the Horne Funeral Chapel, conducted by Dr. Fred Austin, Rev. Leon Alley and Rev. Lane Spiegener, with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the Parsonage Building Fund of the Floyd Parish U. M.
