The only child of the late Bill and Ruby Shawver, Don was born in Follansbee, WV June 14, 1938. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was preceded by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie Therese. Survived by his sons Louis (Ellen) Demoulin, Yves (Gerry) Demoulin, Don (Jenny) Shawver, and Fred (Megan) Shawver. Devoted grandfather to Tracie (Demoulin) Poff, Mathew Demoulin, the late Yves Demoulin, 2nd, Alyssa Shawver, Eric Shawver, Michael Shawver, Colton Lowe, Ariana Shawver and Maddie Williamson. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem, N.C., following a long illness. Born March 28, 1930, in Longacre, she was a daughter of the late Charles Howard and Marie Eskew McCallister. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Crist, on Dec. 1, 1996, and a brother, Franklin McCallister. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church of Hico and attended Calvary Baptist Church of King, N.C. Mary Ann was a homemaker. Funeral services were Jan. 9 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted with Rev. Joe Collins and Rev. Clarence Grigsby officiating. Burial followed in Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald "Curtis" Matney. Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He cherished his family and was a very giving man. Geier, 79, a retired electrical engineer for NASA, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at home. A native of Rochester, NY, he moved here from Clermont in 2003. Mr. Geier was a member of Christian Life Assembly of God Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Hazel J.
