     Her married name was Veazey.3 Ruth Louise Anderson married Unknown Veazey.3 Ruth Louise Anderson was born on August 15, 1925 at West Virginia.1,6 She died on January 22, 2005 at Fairhope, Baldwin Co., Alabama, at age 79.6,3 She Mrs. Ruth Louise Anderson Veazey, 79, a resident of Pratt for over 40 years, departed this life Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at her residence on Bishop Road in Fairhope, Ala. Ruth grew up in Holly Grove on Paint Creek, graduated from East Bank High School in 1943 and worked in a government factory to help the troops of World War II and at Coppers Store in Livingston. She was very active in community, school and church organizations. Being a master seamstress, her Ruth's Crafts products were sold in gift shops throughout West Virginia. She also shared her family's gift by teaching quilting in Pratt. In addition, Ruth was a fabulous cook. In the late 90s, she moved to the AHEPA Presbyterian Apartments in Montgomery where she was the assistant manager. In 2001, upon returning from a visit with her daughter, she happily moved to yet another AHEPA apartment in her beloved new city, Fairhope, Ala. She is survived by her daughter, Marybeth (Terry) Copley of Fairhope; three sons, James R. (Maryann) Anderson of East Bank, Joseph S. Veazey of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Michael A. Veazey of Moulton, Ala; two sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Burke of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. Georgianna Ritz of Rock Hill, S.C; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Anderson, Travis Anderson, Adam Anderson, Rachel Ann Frame, Kelly Veazey, Emily Veazey, Michael Joe Veazey, Cole Veazey, Jennifer (Scott) Butler, Stephanie (Chad) Jackson and Matthew Copley; and one great-grandson, Jackson Butler. Ruth donated her body to research at the University of South Alabama. Memorial mass was held in Fairhope Thursday, Feb. 27, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. An additional memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Good Shepherd Mission Catholic Church, East Bank. Alabama arrangements were by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory, 329 South Greeno Road, Fairhope.

Death was attributed to natural causes. He was a retired machine operator with Acme Limestone Co. at Fort Springs and was a member of United Steel Workers Union 12424. Forren was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Flat Mountain Baptist Church. Born at Iron Gate, Va., Oct. 30, 1910, he was a son of the late Samuel II, and Minnie Rutherford Forren. Survivors include his wife, Virginia McGuire Forren; one son, Junior Forren of Alderson; five daughters, Mrs. William Ochs of Virginia Beach, Va., Mrs. William Wickline and Mrs. Fred Richmond, both of Joilet, Ill., Mrs. Don Karcher and Mrs. Gregory Reninke, both of Defiance, Ohio; one foster daughter, Mrs. Raymond Graham of Virginia Beach; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Wanda King of Kingwood; one stepson, Clarence King, address unknown; two brothers, Edgar of Sinks Grove and Luther Forren of Fayetteville; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Estep and Mrs. Louise Graham, both of Jacksonville, Fla; and Mrs. Elsie Backhurst of Cincinnatti, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Flat Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Ward in charge. Burial will be in the Gwinn Cemetery at Alderson. Friends may call at the Lobban Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral. on July 29, 1974.1

She is survived by her children, John Ochs, Bobbi Graff (Bob), Sandra Bennett, and Jeannie Burns (Dan); her grandchildren, Shea Zischke(Dawn), Rian Zischke, and Chrystal Ochs (Chris); and her 5 great grandchildren, Ethan Zischke, Payton Zischke, Collin Ochs, Alexis Ochs and Brooke Brown. She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Shirley Schlosser, Dreama Miner, and Helen (Greg) Reineke along with many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Vaughna attended nursing school at William and Mary where she met her late husband William. She then began a family and later had a career in the banking industry where she retired. Afterwards, she enjoyed spending her time with loved ones, gardening, baking, and life in general. She loved her family, she loved watching her great grandchildren play, sing, and dance and took every opportunity she had to be with them. She was a generous, kind soul that many came to know as “mom”. She will hold a place in everyone’s heart that knew and loved her.3 She was born on February 8, 1929 at Fayette Co., West Virginia.5,8 As of 1948,her married name was Ochs.4 She married William Warren "Bill" Ochs in 1948 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.2,3,9,4 Vaughna M. She also taught English with Marshall University and Southern West Virginia Community College, a branch of Marshall. She taught English for more than 30 years. Mrs. Glenn was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star 60 in Logan, where she served on the state level. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, a past president of the Women's Club of Logan, and a past president of the Logan Garden Club. Mrs. Glenn was honored for volunteering more than 3,000 hours of service to Logan General Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; and by two siblings, Earl Preston "Bob" Lee and Mary Sampson. She is survived by two sons, Gordon Browning of Chestertown and Charles E. Browning, Ph.D. of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Melissa Browning of Dayton and Byron Browning of Annandale, Va; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia Browning, Madison Browning and Hunter Browning. Services will be in West Virginia at a later date. on November 16, 2006.7

     Charles Minyard Dufour Jr. was buried at Restlawn Memory Gardens, 1 Memory Garden Road, Ansted, Fayette Co., West Virginia.2 His Social Security Number was 235-52-4595.3 He was born on April 1, 1932 at Ansted, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3,2 He married Lucille Janice Potter, daughter of Howard Walter Potter and Lena Jane Hudnall, on May 24, 1952 at Ansted, Fayette Co., West Virginia.1 Charles Minyard Dufour Jr. died on January 1, 2008 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 75.3,2 He ANSTED — Charles M. Dufour Jr., 75, passed away Jan. 1, 2008, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, following a long illness. Charles was born April 1, 1932, at Ansted, the son of the late Charles M. Dufour Sr. and Arbutus Niday Dufour. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving time during the Korean Conflict, was a member of Ansted Baptist Church and a retired clerk for the West Virginia Department of Highways. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Dufour; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and John Morton of Groveport, Ohio, Janice and Dan Taylor of Ansted; a son and his wife, Charles H. and Ramona Dufour of Ansted; a brother, Harold and Ilene Dufour of Ansted; six grandchildren, Daniel and Misty Taylor, Charity Dufour, Suzi Morton, Samantha Dufour, Andrea Morton and Danielle Taylor. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Ansted, with Pastor Larry Gawthrop officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor. Arrangements by Wallace & Wallace of Ansted. on January 3, 2008.2
