     Edna Mae Hodges was buried at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 1917 West Main Street, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on February 11, 1949 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.3,2 As of circa 1966,her married name was King.2 She married David Eugene King circa 1966.2 Edna Mae Hodges died on November 19, 2011 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 62.2,3 She Edna Mae King, 62, of Northview Avenue, Princeton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 11, 1949 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Bonnie McCoy Hodges and Eva Irene Farmer Hodges. She was preceded in death by two siblings, James and Della Hodges. Edna Mae was employed by Concord College in Athens for 26 years as a baker until this terrible disease called cancer took its hold on her. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, David Eugene King; one son, Lee Wayne Hodges; daughters, Patricia Diane King and fiancée Darrell, Carol Evans and husband James, all of Princeton; eleven grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob, Sarah, Bryce, Brittany, Amanda, Zachary, Hayley, David, Lydia and Isabella; six great-grandchildren, Jesika, Trinity, Logan, Zane, Katelyn and Audrey; three brothers, Johnny Hodges and wife Debbie of Princeton, Buster Hodges of Kegley, Lawrence Hodges and wife Melinda of Princeton; two sisters, Faye Bailey and husband Herman of Montcalm, Effie Cardwell and husband Paul of Rock; several very close nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and caregiver, Dolly Lane who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Joyce Tedder officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Thompson, Melan Grubb, Jacob Phillips, Jeremiah Phillips, Bryce Phillips and Zachary Hodges. on November 21, 2011.2

She married Walter "Bert" Shank in West Virginia, and in 1953, they moved west to California. They moved to Las Vegas in 1968, where she spent the next 40 years. She is survived by five children, Donna Anderson of Salt Lake City, Susan Golubich of Las Vegas, Cheryl Iacuaniello of Las Vegas, Donald Shank of Hemet, Calif., Daniel Shank of Tocqueville, Utah; two brothers, James Cole and Fred Cole; four sisters, Bonnie Colvin, Margaret Miller, Phyllis Cole and Dreama Pittman; 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was a very active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregations in California and Nevada. Rosemary loved her children who were the focus of her life. She was an excellent cook. An avid historical reader, she found fascination in all kinds of history and carried that into a love of exploring various historical sites throughout California. Rosemary loved the outdoors finding the beauty in flowers and trees. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to her daughters who cared for her and the many others who have assisted and supported her over the years. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, West Entrance, 4051 N. Cimarron, Las Vegas, NV 89129. on April 29, 2008.2

Virgil Cook in charge. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cole died Wednesday in a local hospital after a long illness. Born in Beckley, July 29, 1887, she was the daughter of the late John and Victoria Clark Meadows. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Carlie F. Cole, in Feb. 1961, and by two sons, Carlton F. Cole, Sept. 1971 and Byron Cole in 1956. Surviving are four sons, Paul E. and Carl Thomas Cole, both of Beaver, John H. Glen Ferris and Hubert Cole, Williamsburg, Va; three daughters, Mrs. Merle Riner, Raleigh, Mrs. Sereta Snead, Beaver and Mrs. Hila Mae Kowalcyzk, Hartford, Conn; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Richmond, John Paul Cole, Jennings O. Lucas, James Riner, Don Davis and John W. Underwood. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. on September 16, 1977.1

Cole. He was employed by both the Eccles No. 5 and 6 mines of Winding Gulf Coals Corp. as chief electrician. Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Naomi Bowman Cole; three sons, Robert C. of Bethlehem, Pa., Randall of Annapolis, Md., and Merle T., of Baltimore, Md; a daughter, Miss Patricia Cole of Beaver; four brothers, Paul E. and Carl Thomas Cole, both of Beaver, John H. of Falls View, and Hubert Cole of Williamsburg, Va; three sisters, Mrs. Merle Riner and Mrs. Sereta Cole both of Raleigh, Mrs. Ila Mae Cole Kowalsky of Hartford, Conn., and six grandchildren. Born in Collinsdale, West Virginia on October 15, 1922, Tom was the son of the late Carlie Fountain Cole and Blanche Meadows Cole. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Eleanor Green Cole, a daughter, Theresa Cole Currence, brothers Hubert, Carlton, Byron, Paul and John, and sisters Merle, Hila, and Sereta. Tom is survived by a daughter, Sandra Cole Richmond and her husband Kenneth of Shady Spring; grandchildren Christina Richmond Ward (Dennis), Andrew Currence and Angela Currence Goddard; great grandchildren Natalie Ward, Nathan Ward, Dana Phillips, Michael Goddard, Hayden Holliday, and Ethan Currence; great-great grandchildren Sydnie and Benton Phillips as well as several nieces and nephews. Tom was a graduate of Shady Spring High School and spent the majority of his adult life in Beaver. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy during World War II serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. He was awarded many service medals including the Silver Star. Tom was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, particularly ocean fishing in his beloved Nags Head and Avon, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 22, 2019, at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Chapel in Shady Spring, with the Reverend Orville Setliff officiating. Riner, 53, of Lanark, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in the Chapel with the Rev. Shirley Donnelly and the Rev. Henry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Riner died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at his home following a long illness. Born Feb 17, 1910, at Glen Morgan he was a son of the late James Edward and Eva Lee Shivley Riner. He had served with the U.S. Army for 30 years and received a medical discharge Nov. 14, 1962. At the time of his discharge he was a Specialist 5th. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, the American Legion and Beckley Moose Lodge. Survivors include a son, James McRae Riner of Hyattsville, Md; and three sisters, Mrs. Harvey Bailey of Lanark, Mrs. Vera Gilkerson of Calloway Heights and Mrs. Eva Leffel of Bluefield. The body will be taken from the funeral home to the residence of Mrs. Harvey Bailey of Lanark at 2 p.m. today and will be returned to the funeral home for the services. on August 8, 1963.3
