     Clarence Joseph Livesay Clarence Joseph Livesay, 77, of Ruckersville, Va., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at The Laurels of Charlottesville. He was born on July 13, 1940, in Dunbar, to the late Harry Livesay and Betty Livesay Vaughan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Duffield. He is fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his dedication and love for his family. He enjoyed cooking, seeing live music, attending sporting events, reading and movies. C.J., as he was known to friends, family and colleagues, worked for Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach, Fla., and later, United Technologies Corporation in Hartford, Conn., developing their University Relations Program. After moving to Charlottesville Va., he was Director of Career Services at The University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science, where he took great pride in helping prepare students and alumni for their professional lives. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Hazel Livesay; his son, Marcus Livesay and his wife Jill; his daughter, Angela Powell and her husband Stephen; his grandchildren, Sierra Smith, Tyler Powell, Ben Powell and Hayden Livesay; and great-grandson, Connor Shatz. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of The Laurels and Hospice of the Piedmont for their wonderful care and support.      Robert Willis Abbott Robert "Bob" W. Abbott, 87 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by parents Hezz and Kate Abbott; sister Lois Ring; brother Edwin Abbott; brother-in-law Jessie Ring. He is survived by loving wife of 66 years Clara E. Abbott; daughter and son-in-law Patsy Bailey and Carl David; grandchildren David J. , Cory and Crystal Tyzinski, and Kelly Minor; great-grandchildren Hudson Minor, Ella and Alex Tyzinski; brother and sister-in-law Jack Abbott and Geneva; sister-in-law Curtis Abbott; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.³ He married Clara E. Elmore, daughter of Preston Belvin Elmore and Etta G. Crawford.⁴ Robert Willis Abbott was born on May 25, 1928 at Buena Vista, Rockbridge Co., Virginia.^1,2 He died on March 19, 2016 at Virginia at age 87.³

     David E. Rooper was buried at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, Cabell Co., West Virginia.³ He married Marylee Robyn McCulloh.³ David E. Rooper was born on December 27, 1959 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia.³ He died on May 15, 2008 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia, at age 48.³ He DAVID E. ROOPER, 48, of Barboursville, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Dr. David Lemming. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born December 27, 1959, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Lorene Cooper Rooper of Barboursville, and the late Rev. Jack Rooper. He was a building maintenance mechanic with the Charleston Fire Department and was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marylee Robyn McCulloh Rooper, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Courtney Rooper of Ashland, Ky., and Scott and Jessica Rooper of Huntington; two sisters, Becky Ferguson of Huntington and Robin Ramey of South Point, Ohio; two brothers, Jack Rooper of Scott Depot, W.Va., and Victor Rooper of Hurricane, W.Va; his paternal grandmother, Reba Rooper of Hurricane, W.Va; two stepsons, Steven Ryan Lemaster of Pensocola, Fla., and Gary Todd Blankenship of Barboursville; a step-grandson, Steven Reese Lemaster; several aunts and uncles; and a special friend and caregiver, Michelle Ramey.      Garnette Merle Walters was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^3,11 She was born on June 21, 1924 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^11,12 She married Clyde Carlton Bones Sr., son of Charles Edgar "Charlie" Bones and Ora Elizabeth Conner, on July 3, 1946 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,13,3,14 As of July 3, 1946,her married name was Bones. As of October 14, 1983,her married name was Rose.² Garnette Merle Walters married Ralph Odell Rose, son of Trigg Mosby Rose and Annie L. Doyle, on October 14, 1983 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,3,15 Garnette Merle Walters died on June 7, 2014 at Virginia at age 89.^3,11 She Garnette Merle Walters Bones Rose, 89, of Salem, has gone home to be with her Lord and sing in that eternal choir in the heavens on June 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Carlton Bones Sr. and Ralph Odell Rose; her parents, William Curtis Walters and Hester Louise Susie Walters; sisters, Lilly Jenkins, Ora Nolley, Mildred Walters, Gladys Agee and Louise Austin; brothers, Henry, Earl, Jack, Guy and Everette Walters. Surviving are her children, Elizabeth Sue Cain-Kelly and husband, David Rice Kelly, Barbara Jean Overstreet and Clyde Carlton Bones Jr., all of Salem; grandchildren, Ruth Anne Masterson, of North Hollywood, Calif. and Daniel Jason Overstreet, of Salem; great grandchildren, Alexandria Smith, of San Antonio, Texas and Ryan Masterson of Phoenix, Ariz; great-great-grandson, Joey Balderrama, of San Antonio, Texas; sisters-in-law, Beulah Walters, of Floyd and Ina Walters, of Salem; brother-in-law, Jack Austin, Roanoke; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rose loved her family, her rose garden and the birds that visited her yard. She loved babies and toddlers, especially the ones for whom she provided childcare for many years. And she loved her church, the First Evangelical Methodist Church of Salem, Va., where she sang in the choir and sewed costumes for many productions and Vacation Bible School events. Most of all she loved God. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on June 9, 2014.³

     Carolyn Ruth Price was buried at Sunset Cemetery, 501 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.³ She On the night of April 3, 2019 our beloved friend and family member Carolyn Ruth Price Light joined the host of angels in heaven above. She was born October 12, 1963 in Radford Virginia to Winfred E Price, Jr and Nancy Alls Price, who predeceased her. She is survived by her constant companions and fur babies Garfield and Odie as well as her cousins Frances Linkous, Lynn Hensley, Teresa Flores and John Price. Also surviving are her cousin’s children Amanda Fox, Sean Price, Chris Shorts, Jeff Price, Casey Linkous and Patrick Emerson who loved her dearly. Carolyn was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. That love was never more apparent than in the final hours before her passing as so many of her work family joined Frances, Lynn and Teresa to be by her side to pray for her, hold her hand and share their love. Carolyn grew up in the Prices Fork area of Blacksburg. She graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1982. In 1984 she began her career working with Law Enforcement as a Dispatcher/Communications Officer. Over 35 years she served with a number of different agencies including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Anne Arundel County Maryland Police Department, Christiansburg Police Department and the NRV911 Emergency Communications Regional Authority. She was a member of the Christiansburg Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to the Nursing Staff on the 3rd floor CCU at Lewis Gale Hospital Salem as well as Dr. Patel & his staff of physicians who took incredible care of Carolyn during the last week of her life. They also wish to thank her work family for their presence and support during this most difficult time. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.³ She was born on October 12, 1963 at Radford, Virginia.^1,4,3 As of May 25, 1991,her married name was Light.¹ She married Keith Judson Light Jr., son of Keith Judson Light Sr. and Irene Christine Miller, on May 25, 1991 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ Carolyn Ruth Price and Keith Judson Light Jr. were divorced on April 19, 2011 at Floyd Co., Virginia.² Carolyn Ruth Price died on April 3, 2019 at Virginia at age 55.³

     Janice Darla Earles was buried at St. Matthew Cemetery, 927 Dobbins Hollow Road, Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,5 Her married name was Lindsey.⁴ She and Herbert Henry Lindsey were divorced.² Janice Darla Earles married Herbert Henry Lindsey.⁴ Janice Darla Earles was born on September 19, 1933 at Riner, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,5,3 She died on September 22, 2014 at Falls Church, Fairfax Co., Virginia, at age 81.^2,5 She Janice D. Earles Lindsey, a resident of Harrisburg, PA, transitioned into eternal life as a result of an auto accident on September 22, 2014, in Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA. Janice was born on September 19, 1933, in Riner, VA, in the home that is now known as Brush Creek Buffalo Farm. She and her mother relocated to Harrisburg, PA, in the mid-forties where she attended Susquehanna Township Schools grading in 1952. She raised her family in Harrisburg and spent about 15 years in Florida before relocating to Harrisburg several years ago. Preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Bower Earles (Joe) Kelley; father, Marvin (Evelyn) Earles; infant brother, Rudolph Earles; step-brother, Billie Kelley; and great-grandson, Jeremiah Lindsey; ex-husband, Herbert Lindsey; and her loving companion in later years, Ray Sherman. Both men were from Harrisburg, PA. Survived by her daughters, Cathy (Patrick) Riordan, Jan (Jim) Politis, Becky (Bob) Christie and Nanette (Doug) Soliday; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her very special friend, Ward Jacobs, who treated her like a "queen" these last months. How to sum up 81 years of life? She was loving and kind. She had a sixth sense about her children and many life events. She would often call just when problems were happening in her children's lives. She collected angels in her later years and loved to read about the miracles often attributed to their intercession. The hospital staff that took care of her in her last days left her room with smiles on their faces and said how much they loved taking care of her. They told us she was just so "sweet" and always were glad to assist her. She will be missed terribly by her children and grandchildren. Interment followed in St. Matthews Cemetery. on September 28, 2014.²

     Herbert Henry Lindsey was buried at Shoops Garden of Rest, Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania.² His Social Security Number was 208-24-1743.⁴ He married Janice Darla Earles, daughter of Marvin Rudolph Earles and Nellie Catherine Bower.⁵ Herbert Henry Lindsey and Janice Darla Earles were divorced.¹ Herbert Henry Lindsey was born on February 12, 1932 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.^2,4,3 He died on February 5, 2014 at Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, at age 81.^2,4,3 He Herbert Henry Lindsey, 81, went home to Jesus, surrounded by his family on February 5, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 12, 1932, he was the son of the late Rueben Lindsey and the late Jeannetta R. Heisse. He resided in the Harrisburg area from the age of 4 until his death. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois A. (Hartzell) Lindsey; daughters, Cathy Riordan (Pat), Jan Politis (Jim), Becky Christie (Bob Kline) and Nanette Soliday (Doug); his loving stepchildren, Tina Mujevic (Sam), Bill Whitman (Chris), Claud E. Witman (Michelle), Sondra Coble, Wendy Rosati and April Harley (Jaime Perez); his ex-wife, Janice D. Lindsey; sister, Michele Klinger (Ron); 40 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 3 aunts, 2 uncles and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel, Bethel, Joseph and Jeannette; his stepdaughter, Bonnie Moore, and his son-in-law, David Christie. He was part of the "uptown gang" of the late 1930's and 40's and a graduate of the Harrisburg Catholic High School (now Bishop McDevitt), class of 1950. He loved to drive and work on trucks, spending his working years doing just those things. He started camping in the early 60's with his family and never lost the love of it. In his retirement years, he so enjoyed "roughing it" on Poplar Island with Lois and quickly learned to be a "river rat." on February 9, 2014.³
