Police said Blaicher was walking across the highway to get a newspaper at about 8:30 a.m. Friday when he was struck by a south-bound 1960 model car being driven by Joseph Roark, 53, of Princeton. No charges were filed in the incident, according to D. R. Bowman, investigating state trooper. Burial will follow in Gleneo Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, Va. Born on May 3, 1949 in Princeton, she was a daughter of the late Otis Vernon and Eula Jean Thomas Skeens. She had lived in Princeton for the past 20 years and was a member of the Princeton Fundamental Christian Church/R.A. West Ministries. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, her son, Brian Skeens preceded her in death. Born on July 5, 1956, in Princeton, WV, he was the son of the late Otis Skeens and Eula Jean Thomas Skeens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Hill Skeens, his brother, Hobart Carl Skeens, and his love of many years, Judy L. Taylor. Billy is survived by his daughter, Misty Lynn Taylor (Aaron Wells); grandchildren, Dakota Keech (Hannah Matney) and Courtney Wells; great-grandchildren, Samuel Leonard Keech and Serenity Elisabeth Richardson; and five siblings: Vickie Garris (Danny), James Skeens (Sharon), Daniel Skeens (Mary), Kenneth Skeens (Tuesday), and Linda McKinney. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends, who will deeply miss him. Billy’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother; his love for them knew no bounds. He would go to any length to ensure their happiness and well-being. Billy’s family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was always there with a kind word, a helping hand, and a loving heart. Billy was a former handyman, a hard worker who could fix or build anything he set his mind to. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he was known for his humility, kindness, and caring nature.      Charles Everett "Charlie" Blaicher Charles Everett Blaicher, 68, of the Maples Nursing Home, Bluefield, formerly of Princeton, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, in WVU-PCH Bluefield ER. Born, February 8, 1955, in Princeton, he was the son of the late George Washington Blaicher and Edith Thomas Blaicher Phillips. Charles worked in the construction industry as a carpenter. He really enjoyed yard animals, working with his hands, writing poetry playing the harmonica and being a friend. Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Charles Neil Blaicher, Candy Eve Blaicher and Gregory O’Quinn; Three grandchildren, Kieran Blaicher, Ethan Dawson and Drake Blaicher; One brother, Earnest Wayne Blaicher; His two best friends, David Harvey and Ricky Scott.² He was born on February 8, 1955 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.² He died on February 9, 2023 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 68.²

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Eugene Brimm, Sr; stepfather, Alvis Otis Snow, daughter-in-law, Paulette Frost; sister, Alva Snow-Arnold, and a nephew, Tommy Arnold. Survivors include her sons, William Douglas Frost and companion Tina Corvin of Princeton, and Douglas Eugene Brimm, Jr. and girlfriend Ashley of Glenwood; her daughter, Rhonda Michelle Brimm-Dinger and husband Jerry Dinger of Brushfork; her stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Brimm-Smith and James Smith; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her brothers, Sammy, David, Wesley and James, and Alvis; her sisters, Diane, Vickie, Angie, and Bobbie.
