Joining her in this reunion were her two husbands, Billie Aldridge Sr. and Wallace Ayers; brother Clark Cregger Jr; grandson, Terry Aldridge; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Aldridge. Dorothy was an accomplished award winning artist, author, and poet. She retired from the Eaton plant in Salem and was a member of United Steelworkers Union. She was baptized in the Salem Church of Christ. Survivors include sons, Billie Aldridge (Becky) of Henderson, KY, Daniel Aldridge (Colleen) of Lakewood, CO, Timothy Aldridge (Sandy) of Roanoke, and Brian Aldridge (Pam) of Montvale; daughter, Jenny Hall (James) of Salem; and sister, Genevieve Witt. She was a well-loved Granny to a multitude of grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 with a visitation one hour prior at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. Watkins Poff, 81, of St. Albans was delivered straight into the arms of Jesus December 21, 2011, at her daughter's home, after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's. Betty was a faithful Christian, a great mom, an awesome Mamaw and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved to crochet and share her creations with loved ones and at local craft fairs. She was the devoted wife of Boyd R. Poff for 61 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Boyd "Jug" Poff and his wife, Patty, of St. Albans, Steven Poff and his wife, Becky, of Dallas, Texas, and Billy Poff of Charleston; her daughter and caregiver, Connie Davidson and her husband, Scott, of St. Albans; her grandchildren, Matt, Philip and Steve Poff, Toni Cranford and Jeff Davidson; and six great-grandchildren. Celebration of Betty's life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor David Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Special thanks to Kanawha Hospice, especially Scott, Peggy and Jennifer, for their dedicated, compassionate care in Betty's last days. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kanawha Hospice, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston, WV 25387. on December 23, 2011.1
