Terry Johnson, 74, of Cedar Grove passed away at home after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. Juanita was a lifelong resident of Cedar Grove and a member of Hughes Creek Church of God of Prophecy. She was retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education and had also worked for Valley Camp Coal Company. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Kincaid Terry, and husband, Jessie Johnson. Surviving: son and his wife, Keith and Liz Johnson of Teays Valley; daughter and her husband, Patricia and Garland Vaughn of Cedar Grove; brothers, Cecil Terry of Charleston and James Terry Sr. of Cedar Grove; sister, Betty Short of Witcher; granddaughters, Tammy Hess of Campbells Creek, Amy Vaughn of Cedar Grove, Kim Graley of Shrewsbury, Kelli Long of Winifrede and Casie Johnson of Sissonville; grandsons, Keith and Josh Johnson of Teays Valley; and great-grandchildren, Jaden, McKenzie and Allie Long of Winifrede, Jason and Katlyn Graley of Shrewsbury, Jamie, Dustin and Justin Vaughn of Cedar Grove and Shawn and Dwayne Vaughn of Campbells Creek. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at the Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, 600 Old Fort St., Cedar Grove, with Pastor Brenda Gray and the Rev. Jack Long officiating. Burial will follow the services in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove. on June 30, 2006.³

Johnson, 72, of Glasgow died May 21, 1997, in Montgomery General Hospital after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County, a former miner, and a Marine Corps veteran. He attended Advent churches. Surviving: daughter, Patricia Vaughn of Glasgow; brother, Orey of Pond Gap; sisters, Leona Johnson of Pond Gap, Flora Belle Jeffery of Charleston; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Fork Christian Advent Church with the Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Seabolt family cemetery, Laurel Fork.
