She was employed by Central State Hospital as a dietitian for 21 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 465, Senior Citizens Center and OASIS. A service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. on February 19, 2003.1

He was born April 23, 1939, in Indianapolis, to Basil and Viola Maxine Drake Corrie, who have preceded him in death. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was later employed for AT&T as a tool and die maker for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of The Cypress Grove Fellowship in Orlando, FL and also of Christian Tabernacle in Indianapolis where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for 25 years. He was instrumental in helping build several churches. A memorial service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at The Cypress Grove Fellowship, 745 Holden Ave., in Orlando. Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with funeral services Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson, IN. Bob is survived by his loving wife of nearly 47 years, Connie K. Ohler Corrie; devoted daughters, Amy Jo Wheeler (Joel), and Sue Ann Brewer (Kevin); granddaughters, Alexis Wheeler, Megan and Laura Brewer; sisters, Sandra Henderson (Kenneth), and Sharon Johnson (Bill); brothers, Leslie (Kathy) and Douglas Corrie. She was a member of the St. Peter's First United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years and was the secretary for the Pacemakers Class. With her husband Dean, she worked their family farm in Union Township. She also belonged to the Comfort Club of Union Township. She was a volunteer Pet & Hobby leader for Farm Bureau in Union Township. She was born on October 10, 1934 in Huntington, a daughter of George Albert and Pansy Lucille (Davis) Reed. She was united in marriage to Dean R. Hosler on October 4, 1951 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntington. Her husband survives. Additional survivors include a son: Joseph D. (Teresa) Hosler of Huntington, a daughter: Mrs. Steve (Judy) Adams of Huntington, five grandchildren and one great grandson. A daughter: Joni Thornsbury, a brother: Don D. Reed and a sister: Bonnie Scott preceded her in death. There will be no visitation hours. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. He served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict from 1951 – 1953. He farmed in Union Township for over 65 years. He also worked for the Huntington County Community School Corporation as a school bus driver for 38 years. He was a member of St. Peter's First Church. Dean was born on January 3, 1931 in Huntington County, the son of Victor H. E. and Edna Mae (Vendrick) Hosler. He was united in marriage to Carol Reed on October 4, 1951 in Huntington. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2007. Survivors include a son: Joseph (Teresa) Hosler of Huntington; a daughter: Judy (Steve) Adams of Huntington; a son-in-law: Mike Thornsbury; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
