She was married to the late William Hyde Cooper on May 30, 1937, and was a Church of Christ member. She lived much of her adult life in Amarillo and Salina, Kan. Her last employment was in Huntsville, Ala., where she worked on the Apollo Space Project for NASA in the computer department of Northrup. She was very devoted to her husband and children, liked to play the piano, was an excellent seamstress and did much needlework, quilting and gardening. We will all miss her sweet smile, the twinkle in her blue eyes and her uncanny sense of humor. Survivors include two sons, Charles W. Cooper and wife Winifred of Birmingham and Gerald L Cooper of Tecumseh, Kans; two daughters, Sharon M. Prafka and husband George of Edmond, Okla., and Deanna L. Heath of Overland Park, Kan; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. on November 8, 2009.⁴

He was born Sept. 10, 1931, near Hereford, Texas, to Blan and Alla Blanche Poff. Grady was a 1949 graduate of Hereford High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was transferred to San Francisco from Texas in 1959, and settled in Sunnyvale, Calif., in 1963. Grady married Arletta Spencer in 1966, and after their retirements from American Airlines, they relocated to Las Vegas in 1989. Arletta died July 1, 2007. In addition to his wife, Grady was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, and two brothers, as well as, four other brothers who died in infancy. Survivors include three nephews; a niece; two sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law, all of Texas; a stepdaughter, Irene Pennington of Las Vegas; and several other relatives. Grady also enjoyed several close friendships, including Hyman Jackson of Pine Bluff, Ark., as well as, Amos and Fannie Shelmire, Carolyn Sosnick, and Ellen Birnbaum, all of Las Vegas. Services were previously held and interment was in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas. on November 4, 2007.²
