Danny William Combs Danny William Combs, 75, of Salem, VA passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019. He was born May 31, 1943 in Roanoke VA but was a true Salemite! He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Elizabeth Waldron Combs; sister, Faye Divers; and a brother-in-law, Charles Divers. Danny served his country in the US Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He grew up in East Bottom and loved Salem and considered himself a true Salemite. He loved fishing and was a member of the Lurkin Lunkers fishing club. Danny was a truck driver for years and retired from Yellow Freight. He obtained his Million Mile Safety Driver award from the National Safety Council. He was a 32 year member of the Teamsters. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy S. Combs of Salem; children, Lisa C. Turner and husband, Kevin and Dana C. Crouse both of Salem; brother, Donald J. Combs and wife, Judy of Montgomery County; grandson, Joshua Turner and wife, Bailey of Bradenton, FL; and nephews, Adam and Scott Combs both of Montgomery County. Graveside services will be conducted at Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by Military Rites. The family would like to thank Lewis Gale Medical Center Staff for the loving care given to Danny at a time it was needed most!4 He was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.4 He was born on May 31, 1943 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.3,2,4 He married Judith Diane Simmons on February 28, 1964 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 Danny William Combs died on May 15, 2019 at Virginia at age 75.4

When the truck started around the curve at the ballpark, brakes were applied and the trailer jack-knifed. The rear of it hit Janney's car. Janney, the seventh person killed on Roanoke County roads this year, died about two hours later in a Roanoke hospital from chest injuries. Janney is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty B. Janney; a son, Edward Lee, Roanoke County; his father, Robert A. Janney, Roanoke County; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Radford, Salem; Mrs. Margaret Bohon, Roanoke; two brothers, Norris R. Janney, Roaand Emmett R. Janney, Boones Mill. on July 18, 1956.3

Mr. Rogstad drew a one-time permit to hunt moose this last hunting season and was successful in filling his tag. He and his wife, Doryne, later divorced. He married his second wife, Edie. She preceded him in death. Survivors include three children, Kim and Tim Rogstad and Cindy Roth; three grandchildren; and his former wife, Doryne. He was proceeded in death by his father, Kenneth; sister, Cindy Roth; and grandparents Oscar and Marion Rogstad and Morris and Nellie Epperly. on June 22, 2020.2

Cindy Cae Rogstad Cindy Cae Roth, 60. Cindy passed away at her home on February 24, 2017 after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born January 26, 1957 in Spirit Lake, Idaho to Kenneth and Doryne Rogstad. She graduated from Coeur d’ Alene High School in 1975 and attended NIC. In 1978 she married Dirk Roth and they had two children Cortney and Drew. She worked at Idaho 1st bank and Bowen Construction before getting her real estate license. She worked for Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty as a realtor for the past 37 years. Gary Schneidmiller was her mentor and close friend. Cindy was also the cruise director for Coldwell Banker. She raised money for the Kootenai Humane Society, local food banks and Toys for Tots. Cindy had an infectious smile and was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was our “pretty in pink” girl. Whether she was out riding her horse in blue jeans or dressed to the “nines” Cindy was gorgeous. She enjoyed walking her dogs, planting flowers, cooking, shopping and floating the river. Most of all she loved her children, family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Cortney, son Drew, mother Doryne, and brothers Kim and Tim. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth, grandparents Oscar and Marion Rogstad, Morris and Nellie Epperly. Cindy was an amazing mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her and will forever be in our hearts.3 She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Spirit Lake, Kootenai Co., Idaho.4 She was born on January 26, 1957 at Spirit Lake, Kootenai Co., Idaho.3,4 As of 1978,her married name was Roth.3 She married Dirk Roth in 1978.3 Cindy Cae Rogstad died on February 24, 2017 at Idaho at age 60.3,4
