Ness, 41, Rt. 1, Liberty, Ind., school bus driver, collapsed and died of a heart attack at 3:30 p. m. Monday. The bus crashed through a fence and came to rest in a field four miles east of Mill Creek, State Police reported. They said passers saw the car in the field, investigated and then called an ambulance. However, Ness was already dead. The accident occurred a mile from Ness' home ,which is in Lincoln Township. LaPorte County. State Trooper Hubert Richardson, of the Dunes Park Post, investigated. Ness was born in Wills Township, LaPorte County and spent his life in this vicinity. He was a farmer. His marriage to Beatrice Milliken took Aug. 23, 1935 in Kingsbury. He was a member of the LaPorte Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow; two children, Lorna and Buford, at home, and a brother, Stanley, of North Liberty. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery. on March 31, 1953.7
