Her first husband, Henry Cook died in 1941; her second husband, Jack Galpine, died in 1964. Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie D. Mills of Startup, Wash; two sons, Norman L. Cook of Gold Bar and Arland Cook of Seattle; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Laura Leona Nicholls of Seattle, Ina Belle Fitzgerald of Walkerton and Leta Dell Fuller of Michigan; and a brother, Ernest Roger Rensberger of South Bend. Interment will be in Manzanita Garden of Acacia Memorial Park Seattle. on May 17, 1992.⁴

MsKinley Ave., Mishawaka. She was born in St. Joseph County and resided in South Bend and Lydick. Mrs. Whiteman is survived by another son, Clarence Riner, of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two brothers, Clarence G. Milliken, of South Bend, and Ora Milliken of Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Whiteman was a member of the Lydick Evangelical United Brethern Church, the Gleaners Sewing Circle of Lydick, and the Order of Eastern Star, South Bend. Services will be held Wednesday at the Perker-Bell Mortuary in Costa Mesa. The body will be taken to the Bent & Sprague Funeral Chapel in Mishawaka for services later this week. on January 12, 1960.⁹

He is survived by his widow; a son, Melvin, and a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Snowden, both of South Bend; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The former owner of the Milliken Trucking Co., he and his wife had served for six years as house parents at the Children's Aid Society. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Guilion of South Bend; a grandson, and a great-grandaughter. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. on October 8, 1965.⁵

Wolverton and Clara Cecilia Smith, on April 30, 1904 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.² Lester Abram Paul and Zeona Isabella Wolverton were divorced before April 28, 1910; Zeona was enumerated as divorced in the 1910 Census.⁵ Lester Abram Paul died on September 16, 1955 at Idaho at age 69.⁴ He Lester A. Paul, 69, a former Buchanan resident, died at his home in Idaho on Friday. He had suffered from a heart condition for several weeks. He was born near Buchanan, the son of the late Lewis and Laura Paul and spent much life in the Buchanan. Twenty-five years ago he moved to the west. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Goldia Kiley of South Bend, Ind; a brother, George Paul of Galien; several nieces and nephews; two aunts and one uncle. A niece, Mrs. Kenneth Bowker, 822 Diamond ave., South Bend, it attending funeral services. on September 19, 1965.⁴

Snyder, 67, of 163 Oak St., Hinckley, died at 5:04 a.m. Monday March 2, 1970 at Copley Memorial Hospital. He was born July 8, 1902 at Mt. Pleasant, IL the son of Charles and Lyda Jordan Snyder. He was educated at Evansville, IN, and Burnt Prairie, IL. May 30, 1936 he was married to Gertrude Borax at Chicago. He was manager of Kresge Downtown Store in Aurora for 29 years until he retired in 1968. He had lived in Hinckley for 25 years and was currently the Squaw Grove Township Assessor. He was past president of the Aurora Lions Club; past president of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce; chairman of the Aurora Downtown Businessmen’s Association; and past president of the Hinckley Community Association. For five years he was actively engaged with the Kansas State School for the Blind Scout Troop, Kansas City, MO; active in the Aurora Council of Civil Defense and the Aurora Scout Troop. He served on the board of Management Lincoln Belmont Y in Chicago, and was a member of the Hinckley Lodge 301 AF&AM. He is survived by his wife, 1 daughter, Mrs. John (Carol) Wheeler, Chicago; two brothers, James Snyder, Chicago and Elmer Snyder, Dixon, CA; and two grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. on March 5, 1970.²
