She was born in Plymouth to Palmer and Lena (Miles) Thompson on October 9, 1919. She graduated from Tyner High School in 1937. She then married Dean Stull and then married Ernest Eugene Shaffer on April 3, 1983 in the Plymouth Wesleyan Church and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2009. Alice was a home maker and always had a large garden on the family farm and was a member of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau. She was an avid quilt maker and a very accomplished pie baker. Alice is survived by sons: Larry (Mary Lee) Stull of South Bend, and Roger Stull of Plymouth; daughters: Linda McCarthy of Michigan City and Barbara (Robert) Milligan of Lake Park, Florida and also sisters; Marilyn Miller of Plymouth. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s Dean Stull and Ernest Shaffer, and her Brother Melvin Thompson, Sister Ruth Redcay, and son-in-law David McCarthy.      Larry Allen Stull Larry A. Stull, 82 of South Bend, passed away on Saturday, February 19th in his home following an extended illness. Larry was born in Plymouth, IN to the late Dean and Alice (Thompson) Stull on June 23, 1939. On June 26, 1960, in Plymouth, IN, Larry married Mary Lee Bowers. They were happily married for 61 years. Mary Lee survives along with their 3 sons: Dennis A. Stull of Bristol, IN, Douglas M. (Elizabeth) Stull of Chandler, AZ and Darrin C. Stull of Ft. Wayne, IN. and his loving grandchildren: Ryan and Laura Stull, along with his sisters: Barbara (Bob) Milligan of Lake Park, FL, Linda McCarthy of Michigan City, IN and his brother, Roger Stull of Plymouth, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter in law, Claire Stull. Larry was a graduate of Tyner High School in 1959 and then was employed by Portage Construction and Ritschard Brother’s Excavating, as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Union Local 150. He loved basketball and played 4 years of varsity at Tyner High School, loved the Irish, Bears and was a die-hard Cubs fan! He loved being with his family and was a wonderful husband and father. Raised on a farm, he lived life true to his core values and instilled work ethic, compassion and strong family ties in his sons. He was known for his quick wit and “Pappyisms” and made an impression on all who knew him. The Stull’s would like to thank Brandy Lopez and Peggy Strasser and their families for their ongoing care and support.      Ronald Charles Clingenpeel NORTH LIBERTY - Ronald Charles Clingenpeel, 71 years old, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his home. Ron was born on August 28, 1946 in St. Joseph County, IN, to the late Lee and Martha (Stull) Clingenpeel. He has been a lifelong resident of North Liberty. On August 12, 1983 in Mishawaka, IN, Ron and Sandra E. Peterson were united in marriage. Along with his loving wife of 34 years, Sandy, Ron is survived by one daughter, Heather M. Thomas of Dalton, GA; two grandchildren, Skylar M. Thomas and Jaiden Reasor; and three sisters, Sharon Zukas of Plymouth, JoAnn Kowalski of South Bend, and Janet Houser of North Liberty. Ron worked in the tool & die industry for over 40 years. He was a graduate of North Liberty High School and served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force. Growing up, Ron was an active member of 4-H and the FFA. He was a nature enthusiast; he loved fishing, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and spending the fall in Brown County. Most importantly, he was dependable, honest, and hard-working, and he loved his family (and dog Tramp) more than anything.1 He was born on August 28, 1946 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.1 He married Sandra E. He was a member of the North Judson Lodge #438 and F&AM Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend. He enjoyed judging cattle at the 4-H fair and golfing. Mr. Cummins was a kind, loving person, who never knew a stranger. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. on March 1, 2012.2

She attended school in Tippecanoe and graduated from Tippecanoe High School with the class of 1950. She met Galen Stull, from Tyner, during her high school years. When he returned from the Army, their relationship continued, and they were married on August 4, 1951. They built their own new home on Sunset Drive and moved in the spring of 1953. Galen preceded Dorothy in death on March 29, 2003. Dorothy worked as a cafeteria worker at Triton School Corporation from which she retired after 22 years. Dorothy will be missed by her grandchildren: Jennifer Dennison of Monticello, IN; Adam (Charity) Rausch of Zionsville, IN; Justin (Karla) Rausch of Noblesville, IN; Eric (Becky) Rausch of Franklin, IN; her many great-grandchildren; her special friend, Doris Stiver of Warsaw, IN; and her special neighbors: Mark and Jane Cottrill; and Larry and Aimee Ross. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Galen, her daughter Pam Rausch (2015) and son David Stull (1984).
