     Sandra Sigmon Mrs. Sandra (Sandie) Saunders of Huntington passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12th. She was born November 1st, 1947 in Welch, WV. Sandra is the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin of the Sigmon-Saunders family. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur S. Sigmon and mother Josephine Sigmon of Logan, WV; her paternal grandparents Mawyer and Lilly Sigmon of Narrows, VA and maternal grandparents, Philomeno and Carmella Notchie of Northfork, WV; her maternal aunts and uncles; Joseph, John, Rocco, Patsy, Mary, Makina, Polly, Freddie, and Larry; her paternal aunt and uncles Barbara Jean Atwell, Bobby and Lynwood Sigmon; cousin Sherrie Atwell; nephew Seth Sigmon, and additional family Tom Deere, Brian Long, and Mark Smoot. Sandie was a graduate of Logan High School, Class of 1965. She was a daughter of Marshall University and completed a Bachelors and Masters in Education. She spent her life devoted to her faith and family. Sandie served as Special Education Specialist with a passion for advocating for children with developmental disabilities and assisted in developing visual, hearing, and gifted programs for children in Cabell County. She was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and cherished all her friends from the Circle 11 group and the youth group. Sandie is survived by her husband William (Bill) Saunders, children; Bill, Amy (Kurt Geveke), Susie (Craig Seaman), and Elizabeth (Michael Morgan). She leaves behind seven grandchildren who were the light of her life and brought her so much joy; Noah, Carter, Will, Lilah, Josephine, Lucas, and Olivia. She is survived by siblings Sue Austin of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Bill (Debbie) Sigmon from Olive Hill, Kentucky; nephews and nieces Jeff (Jen) Austin, Jay Austin, Ashleigh (Daniel) Shuford, Shade and Shayne Sigmon; great aunt Edith Notchie; sister-in-law Sue (Ronnie) McKnight and nephews and nieces Steve (Janie) McKnight, Rhonda Smoot, Christy Long, Michelle Deere, and Tom Deere. She also has a host of many beloved cousins, extended family, and friends. Mom’s love, laughter, generosity, and unwavering kindness will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington, WV.3 She was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, 1427 Norway Avenue, Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia.3 Her married name was Saunders.3 She married William "Bill" Saunders.1,3 Sandra Sigmon was born on November 1, 1947 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia.3 She died on November 12, 2020 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia, at age 73.3

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Wilkinson Atwell of Narrows; his wife, Diane Stafford Atwell, Narrows; two stepsons, Bradley Stafford, Pearisburg, Benjamin Johnston, Narrows; two daughters, Misty A. Blankenship and Sherrie Atwell, both of Narrows; a stepdaughter, Bridget Johnston, Christiansburg; a sister and her husband, Arminta and Arthur Hutton, Port St. John, Fla. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Narrows. on June 30, 1996.5

     Terry Arthur Lawson Terry Arthur Lawson, 60, of Mud Fork, passed away Wed., Nov. 26, 2014, at Hubbard Hospice House in South Charleston. He was a retired machinist from Pittston Coal Company and was a graduate of Logan High School, class of 1972. Terry loved golfing, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Cora Lawson. He is survived by his children, Keley Lawson of St. Albans and Joshua Lawson of South Charleston; sisters, Toni Adams, Bernita Bryant and Bo Collins, all of Mud Fork; brother, Bruce Lawson of Mitchell Heights; fiancée, Melanie Williams and her children, Danyale Miller and J.D. Canterbury; his former wife, Burma Lawson; grandchildren, Tiffani Spradlin, Caycen Miller, Nash Canterbury and Dreyvin Canterbury, as well as many loving family members and close friends.2 He and Burma Lee Sigmon were divorced.2 Terry Arthur Lawson was born on October 27, 1954 at West Virginia.1 He married Burma Lee Sigmon, daughter of Lynwood Lee "Lyn" Sigmon and Gloria Gail Mullins, on April 7, 1978 at Grundy, Buchanan Co., Virginia.1 Terry Arthur Lawson died on November 26, 2014 at South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 60.2
