Ronnie was married for 60 years and survived by his beloved wife, Mary Sigmon Bennett. Ronnie is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Bennett; and sister, Diane Arrington. Ronnie has two sons, Ronald E. Bennett of Ridgeway and the late David C. Bennett of Rocky Mount. Ronnie has one grandchild, Marena N. Bennett of Ridgeway; and many nieces and nephews. Ronnie was a US Army veteran and retired from Lance Inc. where he ran a route in Rocky Mount for 25 years. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheryl Brogan, Pat Brogan; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Robbie Dummitt, Donna and Dale Hartberger; granddaughter and caregiver, Amy Nelson; other grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, and Brice Hartberger, Leslie Wohlford, Erin and Evan Dummitt, Jill Lane; great-grandchildren, Taylor, McKenzie, and Landon Nelson, Tosh and Marley Armstrong, Kyleigh Hartberger, Miranda and Madeline Wohlford, Shawn, Jacob, and Jayden Lane; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen and Jim Broyles, and Janie Brogan. Helen Nadine Brogan Helen Nadine Broyles, 89, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 5, 2019. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She expressed her love for each of her family members through her wonderful cooking. Surviving are her husband, James H. Broyles; sons, Richard K. (Susan) Hodges, Wesley L. Hodges Sr., John F. (Betsy) Broyles, James B. Broyles; grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Hodges, Cortney (Jack) Gary, Wesley (Taff) Hodges, Stuart (Tab) Hodges, John Michael Broyles, Joseph Broyles, Chelsha Reed, Dylan Broyles, and Jessica Broyles; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous special nieces and nephews including, Judy (Phil) Bailey and Ron (Rita) Martin. DeWease and fiance, Diana, of Boones Mill; sisters, Velva Jean Martin, of Roanoke and Shirley Thomas, of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Robert L. DeWease Jr., of Roanoke, Jennifer S. Hamilton, of Eagle Rock, Daniel J. DeWease, of Lynchburg and Amy S. DeWease, also of Roanoke; great-grandchildren, Ricky A. Wade Jr., Justin A. Wade, Ethan DeWease and Alexander McCrickand. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. on January 13, 2013.3

Numerous homes and churches in the Martinsville/Henry County area and Smith Mountain Lake had his trademark craftsmanship. He had a love for building, which showed in the quality work he displayed. Mr. Love had a passion for all sports and was an avid Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Dodgers fan. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Mr. Love was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Peggy Sigmon Love; brothers, Kyle Love, Harry Love, and Herbert Love; sisters, Christine Love and Edith Grey Love; and sister-in-law, Coralea Love. Mr. Love is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Patti Love, of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Love and Bill Barnette, of Rocky Mount and Pam and Mark Hanks, of Pulaski; grandsons, Keaton Hanks and Gavin Hanks, of Pulaski; stepgrandson and wife, Scott and Lee Markham, of Roanoke; one great-grandson, Max Markham, of Roanoke; special friend and loving companion for many years, Lucy Davis, of Martinsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug Love, of Collinsville, Carlton and Linda Love, of Ridgeway and Randy and Fatena Love, of Rocky Mount; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Bob Firebaugh, of Salem; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Love, of Collinsville, Ethel Love, of Sontag and Thelma Love, of Stuart; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to Emeritus at Roanoke and Good Samaritan Hospice for their excellent care of Mr. Love. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park. on February 24, 2014.2
