Ronnie was married for 60 years and survived by his beloved wife, Mary Sigmon Bennett. Ronnie is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Bennett; and sister, Diane Arrington. Ronnie has two sons, Ronald E. Bennett of Ridgeway and the late David C. Bennett of Rocky Mount. Ronnie has one grandchild, Marena N. Bennett of Ridgeway; and many nieces and nephews. Ronnie was a US Army veteran and retired from Lance Inc. where he ran a route in Rocky Mount for 25 years. Denver had fought a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was a loving husband, father, and granddaddy. He loved his Lord, his family and his country. He served his country in the Armed Forces during World War II and in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a former employee of American Bridge, the Eaton Corporation and retired as a self employed painter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jean Marlves Hodges Brogan; his parents, George Lee and Girlie Sigmon Brogan; brothers, Elbert K. and Orville L. Brogan; and a sister, Carrie Martin. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheryl Brogan, Pat Brogan; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Robbie Dummitt, Donna and Dale Hartberger; granddaughter and caregiver, Amy Nelson; other grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, and Brice Hartberger, Leslie Wohlford, Erin and Evan Dummitt, Jill Lane; great-grandchildren, Taylor, McKenzie, and Landon Nelson, Tosh and Marley Armstrong, Kyleigh Hartberger, Miranda and Madeline Wohlford, Shawn, Jacob, and Jayden Lane; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen and Jim Broyles, and Janie Brogan. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Greg Jamison and staff in the Home Primary Care Department at the VA Medical Center in Salem. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. on July 27, 2011.¹

Helen Nadine Brogan Helen Nadine Broyles, 89, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 5, 2019. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She expressed her love for each of her family members through her wonderful cooking. Surviving are her husband, James H. Broyles; sons, Richard K. (Susan) Hodges, Wesley L. Hodges Sr., John F. (Betsy) Broyles, James B. Broyles; grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Hodges, Cortney (Jack) Gary, Wesley (Taff) Hodges, Stuart (Tab) Hodges, John Michael Broyles, Joseph Broyles, Chelsha Reed, Dylan Broyles, and Jessica Broyles; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous special nieces and nephews including, Judy (Phil) Bailey and Ron (Rita) Martin. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Snyder Nursing Home for their kindness and exceptional care. She was a member of the Rocky Mount Town Council from 1990 to 1994 and served on numerous committees. Mrs. Love retired from the Franklin County Public School System with over 37 years service, as Director of Business and Finance and Clerk of the School Board. She was also a member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin County Womens' Club and the Franklin Guild. Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her father, Dan E. Sigmon. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Love; one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Patti Love, Roanoke; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ann Callahan, Moneta, Pam and Mark Hanks, Bedford; one grandson, Keaton Hanks; one stepgrandson, Scott Markham, Roanoke; her mother, Vera W. Sigmon, Rocky Mount; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Alice and V. B. Hall, Betty Hudson and Sue Housman, all of Rocky Mount; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerry and Patty Sigmon, and Richard Sigmon, all of Rocky Mount; two aunts, Myrtle Ratliff, Rocky Gap and Ethel Bivens, Marion. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Dr. Joe R. Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Peggy S. Love Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O Mr. Lee Cheatham, Business Mgr., Franklin County Public Schools, 102 Bernard Road, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount. on August 13, 1994.²

William Floyd Love was buried at Franklin Memorial Park, Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,4 He was born on March 22, 1927 at Sydnorsville, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,4,5 He married Peggy Anne Sigmon, daughter of Daniel Elbert "Dan" Sigmon and Vera Mae Weddle, on June 11, 1951.^1,2,6,4 William Floyd Love died on February 21, 2014 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 86.^2,3,4 He William Floyd Love, 86, of Rocky Mount and Martinsville, Va., passed away Friday February 21, 2014. Mr. Love was born March 22, 1927, in Sydnorsville, Va., and was a son of the late George Cabell and Mary Brown Love. Mr. Love was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Germany and Austria with the Engineer Construction Division for most of his service. Mr. Love was a talented carpenter working with his brothers, Doug Love, Carlton Love, and the late Kyle Love. Numerous homes and churches in the Martinsville/Henry County area and Smith Mountain Lake had his trademark craftsmanship. He had a love for building, which showed in the quality work he displayed. Mr. Love had a passion for all sports and was an avid Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Dodgers fan. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Mr. Love was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Peggy Sigmon Love; brothers, Kyle Love, Harry Love, and Herbert Love; sisters, Christine Love and Edith Grey Love; and sister-in-law, Coralea Love. Mr. Love is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Patti Love, of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Love and Bill Barnette, of Rocky Mount and Pam and Mark Hanks, of Pulaski; grandsons, Keaton Hanks and Gavin Hanks, of Pulaski; stepgrandson and wife, Scott and Lee Markham, of Roanoke; one great-grandson, Max Markham, of Roanoke; special friend and loving companion for many years, Lucy Davis, of Martinsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug Love, of Collinsville, Carlton and Linda Love, of Ridgeway and Randy and Fatena Love, of Rocky Mount; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Bob Firebaugh, of Salem; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Love, of Collinsville, Ethel Love, of Sontag and Thelma Love, of Stuart; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to Emeritus at Roanoke and Good Samaritan Hospice for their excellent care of Mr. Love. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park. on February 24, 2014.²
