     Mark Darin Sigmon Mark Darin Sigmon, Feb 18, 1965 - Apr 10, 2023. Mark Sigmon, 58, of Fairfax, VA, formerly of Logan, WV, passed away in the early morning hours Monday, April 10 with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents - Lynwood Lee and Gloria Gail (Mullins) Sigmon; his maternal grandparents - Wetzel and Evelyn Mullins and his paternal grandparents - Mawyer and Lilly Sigmon. He was also preceded in death by several cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends. Mark will be remembered for many things including his wicked sense of humor and many fun times shared. He is loved and will be missed by his sisters - Burma Lawson, Melody (Dana) Browning, Cristy Sigmon, and his brothers - Brent (Tina) and Brian Sigmon. Mark is also survived by his nieces - Keley, Autumn, Rachael, Danica, Alicia, Ashton; his nephews - Jeremy, Josh, Kevin, Ryan; great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends, and his little buddy, Freddie the pup.³ He was born on February 18, 1965 at West Virginia.³ He married Carol Lynn Clinger on November 13, 1987 at Pike Co., Kentucky.⁴ Mark Darin Sigmon died on April 10, 2023 at Fairfax, Fairfax Co., Virginia, at age 58.³

     Linda Ruth Akers Linda Ruth Gladden, 68, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She drove a school bus for over 15 years throughout the Roanoke Valley. Her church membership was held at Edgewood Christian Church in Roanoke. She loved her cat, Felix. Linda was a beloved mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lee and Rachel Akers; and siblings, Carolyn Booth and David Akers. Her surviving family includes her children, Manny Gladden and wife, Michelle; grandchild, Alyssa Marrin; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family sincerely thanks Carol Duncan for her lifetime friendship.⁴ She was born on October 29, 1948 at Roanoke, Virginia.³ As of March 28, 1964,her married name was Eanes.¹ She married Donald Ray "Don" Eanes, son of Charles Fred "Charlie" Eanes and Claudy Evelyn Anderson, on March 28, 1964 at Lafayette, Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ Linda Ruth Akers and Donald Ray "Don" Eanes were divorced on April 25, 1966 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.² Linda Ruth Akers died on January 3, 2017 at Virginia at age 68.⁴

     Jeanette Gail Perdue Jeanette Gail (Nett) Nicely, 71, of Blue Ridge, VA went to be with the Lord and Savior on Friday, July 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester (Junior) Perdue and Georgia May Perdue, as well as her long-time companion Charles R. Floyd Sr. and her brother Michael A. Perdue. Jeanette was an accomplished seamstress. She sewed ottomans at Rowe Furniture for over 40 years. Jeanette enjoyed fishing, camping, amusement parks, and shopping. Left to cherish her memory were stepdaughters, Shaynon L. Hughes (Charles E. Hawkins), Margaret S. Bunker (Jonathan Bunker), and stepson Chuck (Chucky) Floyd (Crystal Floyd); grandchildren, Steven, Hunter, Christin, Tiffanny, Erica, Rebeka, Jonathan, and Savanna; great-grandchildren, Micah and Ryon; Feline Sassy and Canine Tara Lou, and a host of friends. A special thank you to Kathy and Mike Williamson, Debbie Lugar, Sandy Hamby, and Carilion Hospice Staff. Interment to follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.³ She was buried at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Cloverdale, Botetourt Co., Virginia.³ She was born on June 22, 1950 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,4 As of April 22, 1966,her married name was Eanes.¹ She married Donald Ray "Don" Eanes, son of Charles Fred "Charlie" Eanes and Claudy Evelyn Anderson, on April 22, 1966 at Elliston, Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ Jeanette Gail Perdue and Donald Ray "Don" Eanes were divorced on September 16, 1976 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Jeanette Gail Perdue died on July 9, 2021 at Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 71.³

     Her Social Security Number was 225-98-5458.⁴ Connie Lynn Collins was born on January 1, 1960 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3,4 As of March 23, 1976,her married name was Eanes.¹ She married Kyle Edward Eanes, son of Charles Fred "Charlie" Eanes and Claudy Evelyn Anderson, on March 23, 1976 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ Connie Lynn Collins and Kyle Edward Eanes were divorced on June 19, 1985 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Connie Lynn Collins died on June 28, 2006 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 46.^4,5,6,7 She Connie Lynn Eanes, 46, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of her death, Connie worked at the First Baptist Church Child Development Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janie S. Collins. She is survived by her son, Jason K. Eanes and wife, Tabitha of Goodview, Va; grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, and Charlie; her father, Jessie F. Collins of Roanoke; brothers, Jerry M. Collins and wife, Marry Jane and Larry F. Collins and wife, Nancy of Roanoke; sisters, Teresa Stilwell and husband, Patrick of S.C., Elizabeth Tucker and husband, William of New Castle, Va. and Janet Chamberlain and partner, Mark Moses of Roanoke; and numerous nephews and nieces. Also, special friends, Linda Murray of Roanoke and Kyle E. Eanes of Elliston, Va. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Carilion Cancer Center and her colleagues at the First Baptist Church Child Development Center. on June 29, 2006.⁵

     Sherrie Lynn Atwell Sherrie Lynn Atwell, 55 of Narrows was reunited with her mother and father on Friday, November 29th, 2013. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on November 11th 1958, and was the daughter of the late Jerry Scott Atwell and Barbara Jean Sigmon Atwell. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mawyer and Lillie Sigmon; and her paternal grandmother, Mildred Wilkinson Atwell. Sherrie was a former employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with 25 years of service. Full of life, yet down to earth, Sherrie had a huge heart and loved her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Jordan Scott Atwell of Narrows; a sister, Misty Atwell Blankenship of Narrows; two very special nephews, Darryl Blankenship and wife Chenaye, and Jacob Blankenship, all of Narrows; a very special niece, Kristen Brooke Blankenship of Pembroke; many special family members and friends.³ Her Social Security Number was 227-02-5251.⁷ She was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia.² She was born on November 11, 1958 at Giles Co., Virginia.^2,3,7,4 She died on November 29, 2013 at Giles Co., Virginia, at age 55.^2,3,7,5
