He enjoyed playing dominos, checkers, and loved to fish. Raymond is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jesse M. Carder; three step-sons, James Post and his wife Theresa of MD, John Post and wife Antoinette of OH, Roger Post and wife Linda of FL; one daughter in Law, Linda Post of OH; One brother, Bernard Lee Carder of Baltimore, MD; 13 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great grandchildren, one step-great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carder was preceded in death by a step-son, Kenneth Post, and three sisters, Jerry Rakes, Betty June Miles, and Juanita Walterman. He was preceded in death by one daughter, three sisters, nine brothers and one grandchild. Mr. Gravely retired from the University of Illinois as an equipment operator. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana. Mrs. Gravely was born April 7, 1930, in Lane to parents Furman and Evelyn (Young) Arthur. She married George E. Gravely Jan. 30, 1949, in Beckley, W.Va; he survives. Also surviving are children Linda Reid (Pat), Robert Gravely and David Gravely, all of Urbana; eight siblings; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Dessel was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and three siblings. Mrs. Gravely worked for more than 20 years at the Champaign County Nursing Home as a nurse. She was a member of the Curtis Road Church of God in Champaign. on June 23, 2013.²

She was born Aug, 6, 1949 to George and Dessel Gravely in Beckley, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her mother and her son, Larry Boyd. She is survived by her father; brothers, Robert and David Gravely; husband, Patrick Reid; sons, Paul and Dale Boyd; daughter, Donna Slade; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. on May 28, 2015.¹
