     Shirley Ann Slaydon was buried at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd., Irving, Dallas Co., Texas.¹ She SHIRLEY ANN LAYMAN, age 78, a resident of Irving for 47 years, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at a care center in Granbury, Texas. Born September 10, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas, she grew up in Ragley, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana School for the Deaf. Shirley married William Alvin Layman on January 21, 1961 in Garland, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1987. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Survivors include her sons, Jack Layman and wife Kris of Grapevine, and Jesse Layman of Irving; companion, Joe Dickens of Azle and his children, Lynn Hennessy, Herbert Hennessy and James Hennessy; grandchildren, Nate, Kaitlyn, Preston, Chloe, Gracie, Paisley, Tyler, Dustin, Olivia, Elizabeth, Ashley, Joshua and Hailey; sister, Peggy Brown; brothers, Ross Slaydon and Gerald Slaydon. A viewing for friends will be held from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m., Saturday, January 4 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Winkler were divorced on October 14, 1975 at Tarrant Co., Texas.⁶ As of February 25, 1980,her married name was Sullivan.³ Deborah Carol Whaley married Ronald Cecil "Ronnie" Sullivan on February 25, 1980 at Parker Co., Texas.^1,2,3 Deborah Carol Whaley died on January 8, 2010 at Springtown, Texas, at age 57.^2,5,4 She SPRINGTOWN -- Carol Sullivan, 57, left this earth Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, to be with and rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Deborah was born May 27, 1952, in Fort Worth to James Allen and Marie Tarver Whaley. She had lived in the Springtown area about seven years and had lived in the Fort Worth area all her life. Deborah attended The Church in Peaster. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie "Mama Darlin'" Whaley. Survivors: Her husband and best friend of 30 years, Ronald C. Sullivan of Springtown; children, Bobby Winkler of Fort Worth, James Michael Winkler and wife, Adrian, of Keller and Angela Lynn Sailsbury of Fort Worth; father, Jim Whaley of Rockport; sisters, Sandy Minze and Dana Aguirre; brother, Jim Whaley Jr; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. on January 12, 2010.²
