     Janet Elizabeth Horton Janet Elizabeth Horton Sigmon, 62, of Princeton died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 16, 1953 in Pulaski, VA she was the daughter of the late Richard Pierce Horton, Sr. & Bonnie Davis Horton. Janet was a member of the Memorial Church of Christ in Princeton for 33 years. Janet worked most of her life including Coleman's Furniture and Lee Jeans both in Pulaski and cleaned houses for many people over an 18 year period. She last worked at GlenWood Park Retirement Village where she served as an Environmentalist and loved her work and cared deeply for those she worked with and especially the residents. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy, Steven, Larry and Richard (Dickie), Jr. and her step-mother, Nancy Davis Horton. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 35 years, Dennis Sigmon; her daughter, Treva Bivens Weise of Vale, NC; granddaughters, Breonna Pitzer (with a great-grandchild due in February) and Alexus Weise all of the home; two brothers, Anthony (Tony) Horton of Pulaski, VA and David Horton & significant other, Missy of Lexington, KY; three sisters, Faye Akers of Dublin, VA, Linda Blevins & husband, Roy of Pulaski, VA and Debbie Holbrook & husband, Charlie of Roanoke, VA; special niece, Brittany Bradford of Roanoke, VA and several other nieces and nephews and her special four-legged friend which Janet called her therapy dog, Alley Oops.³ She was born on April 16, 1953 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 As of April 16, 1980,her married name was Sigmon.¹ She married Dennis Ray Sigmon, son of George Woodrow "Woody" Sigmon and Hettie Irene Sigmon, on April 16, 1980 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.^1,3 Janet Elizabeth Horton died on August 11, 2015 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 62.³

     Her Social Security Number was 236-48-7025.⁸ Hazel Irene Sigmon was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.⁵ She was born on April 14, 1933 at Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,3,8,5 As of December 24, 1950,her married name was Anderson.² She married Charles Lindberg "Pete" Anderson on December 24, 1950 at Kimball, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^2,4,5,7 Hazel Irene Sigmon died on May 31, 2013 at Gary, McDowell Co., West Virginia, at age 80.^4,8,5 She Hazel Irene Anderson, age 80, of Carswell Hollow, Kimball, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Friday night, May 31, 2013, at the McDowell Nursing and Rehab Center, Gary, W.Va. after a short illness. Born April 14, 1933 in Rocky Mt., Va., she was the daughter of Lettie Mae Snow Sigmon of Carswell, W.Va. and the late Everett T. Sigmon. She was a graduate of Welch High School class of 1951. She was a former employee of the G.C. Murphy's Store in Welch, W.Va. and also J.C. Penney in Welch. She was a homemaker, a nursing home volunteer, a volunteer at Welch Elementary School, and a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Welch, W.Va. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She had been a resident of Carswell all her life. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sherry Lynn Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her husband of 62 years, Charles "Pete" Anderson of the home; her mother, Lettie Mae Snow Sigmon of Carswell, W.Va; her daughter, Cathy Forrest of Welch, W.Va; granddaughter, Melissa Forrest of Welch, W.Va; two sisters, Jean Doss of Carswell, W.Va., Carol Wilson and husband Bob of Colonial Heights, Va; three brothers, Everett Sigmon and wife Connie of Carswell, W.Va., Leland Sigmon and wife Betty of Roanoke, Va., Kenneth Sigmon and wife Brenda of Pineville, W.Va; several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, W.Va. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Smith, Frankie Dillon, Glen McCoy, Tommy Brown, and Mark Doss. on June 2, 2013.⁵

     Norma Jean Sigmon was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ She was born on August 30, 1934 at Kimball, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^2,3 As of December 20, 1957,her married name was Doss.² She married Earl Pendleton Doss on December 20, 1957 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^2,7,3 Norma Jean Sigmon died on December 28, 2020 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia, at age 86.³ She Norma Jean Doss, 86, of Welch, West Virginia, passed away Monday December 28, 2020 at Glenwood Park Nursing Home. Norma was born August 30, 1934 to the late Everett Sigmon and Lettie Snow. Norma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Earl P. Doss. She is survived by her son Mark Doss (wife Sherry), two brothers Everett Sigmon (wife Connie), Leland Sigmon (wife Betty), one sister, Carol Wilson (husband Bob), three grandchildren, Mark David Doss Jr. (wife Lindsey), Kevin Doss, and Brittany Drake (husband Daniel) and several great-grandchildren, Brian, Savannah, Braylon, Landon, and Ellie. Internment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. on December 29, 2020.³

     Charles Lindberg "Pete" Anderson was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.² He was born on June 25, 1928 at Big Four, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Hazel Irene Sigmon, daughter of Everett Talton Sigmon and Lettie Mae Snow, on December 24, 1950 at Kimball, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^1,2,4,5 Charles Lindberg "Pete" Anderson died on January 17, 2015 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia, at age 86.² He Charles L. "Pete" Anderson, age 86, of Carswell Hollow in Kimball, WV, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Golden Harvest Unit of Welch Community Hospital in Welch, WV, after a long illness. Born June 25, 1928 in Big Four, WV, he was the son of the late Jesse James Anderson and Lillian Dixon Anderson. 'Pete' was a retired coal miner from US Steel and Cannelton Coal Co. He was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Welch, WV, was a Veteran of the US Navy, a loving husband, father, grandfather and a resident of McDowell County most of his Life. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Hazel Irene Sigmon Anderson on May 31, 2013. One infant daughter, Sherry Lynn Anderson, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Cathy Forrest of Welch, WV, 1 granddaughter, Melissa Forrest of Welch, WV, 3 sisters: Doris Burks and husband Hershel of Princeton, WV, Ruth Jones of Princeton, WV, Phyllis Branch of Kentucky, a special caregiver, Barbara and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be: Bobby Smith, Clifford Rotenberry, Glen McCoy, Mark Doss and Elder Everett Sigmon. on January 18, 2015.²

     James Kenneth "Ken" Sigmon was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^3,4 He was born on October 19, 1946 at Carswell, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^3,4,5,6 He married Brenda Joyce Mullins on February 4, 1966 at Hemphill, McDowell Co., West Virginia.⁶ James Kenneth "Ken" Sigmon died on July 17, 2015 at West Virginia at age 68.^3,4,5 He James Kenneth "Ken" Sigmon, 68, beloved husband, father and “pawpaw” went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2015. Born in Carswell, WV on October 19, 1946, he was a son of the late Everett Talton Sigmon and Lettie Mae Snow Sigmon. Ken was a US Army Veteran having served one tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired after 40 years of service with Appalachian Power Company and was a member of the Pineville First United Methodist Church. He loved bowling with his longtime friend, Sherman Taylor, playing cards with his best friends, Sharon and P.H. Calfee and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ken loved his church and church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Anderson and brothers-in-law, Charles “Pete” Anderson and Earl P. Doss. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Brenda Sigmon; two daughters, Lisa Duty and her husband, Scott of Princeton; and Lori Salmons and her husband, Robert of Crab Orchard; granddaughter, Paige Blankenship and two grandsons, Cody Blankenship and Sean Salmons. He is also survived by two brothers; Everett T. Sigmon, Jr. and wife Connie of Carswell and Leland Sigmon and wife, Betty of Roanoke; two sisters, Jean Doss of Carswell and Carol Wilson of Colonial Heights, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken also dearly loved his extended family, Nancy and Dean Stover; Patty and Pat Wyatt and Emily and Bud Mullins. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Honor Guard. on July 19, 2015.³
