He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Tom, a survivor of the Vietnam War, found his calling by helping other veterans receive military benefits. Among a few of his many interests were genealogy, military history and traveling. He also had a love of aviation, both personally and as a military pilot during the war. Tom was well-liked by all and never failed to help a person in need. He was known best for his love of God, family and country. Born in Klamath Falls on July 6, 1940, Tom relished his life near his parents' home in Dorris. The son and brother of a farming family, he was well-skilled in mechanics, operating machinery and running the farm. He was also quite innovative in fabricating needed farming equipment. Tom is survived by his loving wife Beverlie, his parents Tom and Vera and his brothers David (deceased), Jim (wife Judy), Gary (wife Diane) and Doug (wife Lan). He was the proud parent of children Jeri Lynn Weldon (husband John), Lisa Brownlow, Scott Cavener, Pam Huff and Christopher Biedenbender (fiancee Robin). He also leaves behind treasured grandchildren Joshua Beale (wife Tiffany), Nicholas and Zachary Brownlow, Tatum Cavener-Huff, Chase Huff and Jaden Cavener. A public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. this Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Shasta View Church of the Nazarene in Dorris. A potluck lunch will follow. A private interment will be held later in the day. on June 18, 2008.⁵

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday Dec. 5, at the Church of the Nazarene in Dorris, Calif. Inurnment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Macdoel. O'Hair's Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Robin was born in San Mateo, Calif., to David and Marilyn Cavener on Jan. 11, 1969. She graduated from Henley H.S. And went on to college, obtaining her MA Ed. at UC-Davis. Robin loved Christian Rock, scuba diving, parachuting, hunting and fishing, teaching, the country life, and church potlucks. She attended the Church of the Nazarene, and loved and lived passionately for Jesus. Robin is survived by her husband, Chris Biedenbender; mother, Marilyn Weatherby; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Linda Cavener and their daughter ,Macy June; brother, Mark Cavener and his daughter, Lucy Rose; uncles and their spouses, Bob and Fran Lofsted and their daughter, Allie; Richard and Ruth Lofsted; Jim and Judy Cavener and their children, Kristy, Gina, and Callie; Gary and Diane Cavener and their children, Nathan Cavener, Greg Cavener and their families; Dr. Douglas and Lan Cavener and their daughters, Mia, Beth, Vicky; aunt, Beverlie Cavener; cousins, Scott Cavener and his son, Jaden; Lisa Cavener and her sons, Nick, and Zach; Pam Cavener and her children, Tatum, and Chase; Josh Beal and his family. on November 30, 2014.⁵
