Charlotte Virginia Wall Charlotte Hylton, Dec 12, 1942 - Dec 6, 2017. Charlotte Virginia Hylton, 74, of Oak Hill, passed away December 6, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Cletus Wall. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Jackie Lee Wall and Russel Wall. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Dennis Hylton and children, Denny Lee (Lara), David (Heather) and Steven Hylton. Her 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild will miss her as well as her brothers and sisters. She was a member of Mountain View Church of God for over 40 years. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Southern West Virginia, Bowers House for the kindness and care given to Charlotte and the family. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports (especially WVU football and basketball). Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Melinda Dyann Hatcher of Coal City and Pamela Lewis and her husband Norman of Michigan. Grandson, Steven Hughart and his wife Nikki of Coal City, granddaughter, Kristi Cole of Odd, great-grandchildren, Lani, Teylor, and Andrue; brothers, William Levi of Mead and Robert Douglas of Beaver; sisters, Elizabeth Doss of North Carolina, Joan Doss and Janice Lusk of Mead; also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to thank Gentiva Health Services for their special care and compassion. Services will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. VFW Post 3110 will perform military honors. on February 12, 2010.1

Maxine Jewel Lewis was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.5,3 She Maxine Jewel Lewis Doss, 78, of Princewick, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones, at Raleigh General Hospital, on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, following a short illness. She was born Feb. 23, 1929, to the late the Rev. Allen Lewis and Goldie Whitt Lewis. Maxine loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing games with her great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Stoco High School and a longtime resident of Princewick. She was employed by Coal City Elementary and the Princewick Post Office as a relief clerk. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Billy Lewis; and sisters, Beverly Lewis and Joyce Imogene Wyco. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Elwyne Doss; daughters, Melinda Dyann Hatcher of Coal City and Pamela Lewis and husband, Norman, of Michigan; grandchildren, Steven Hughart and wife, Nikki, of Coal City and Kristi Cole of Odd; great-grandchildren, Teylor, Lani and Andrue; a brother, H.B. Lewis of Princewick; and a sister, Drema Sams of Oceana. A special thanks goes out to the nurses at Raleigh General Hospital’s SICU for all of your support to our family and the special care given to our mother.
