He was 68. "Everybody in town admired him," East Bank Mayor Chuck Blair said today. Rosenbaum was a native of East Bank and lived there all his life. He served as mayor from 1967 to 1969. For many years he worked hard for the East Bank High School Boosters Club at football games, said East Bank football coach Ralph Hensley. Hensley said Rosenbaum would collect the food, set it up, then work in the concession stand. The money raised by concessions went to recondition equipment for the East Bank Pioneers and feed them a pre-game meal. "He was a very warm, extroverted-type person," Hensley said Rosenbaum's interest in food went further - from the mid-60s until a few years ago he owned and operated the Outside Inn, a sandwich shop next to East Bank Junior High School. It was a popular lunch place with students during the years when there was no policy to keep them on campus, Hensley said. Rosenbaum also ran a car wash next to the restaurant. Several years ago Rosenbaum was also co-owner of Rodan Construction Co., his son Mike, also of East Bank, said today. Rosenbaum was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Coalburg, and the American Legion, Ed Brown Post 80. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
