She obtained a BS in Medicine, again from the University of Oklahoma, in 1971 and was one of the first non-military women in the United States to become a Physician's Assistant. She moved to Albuquerque in 1977 and worked at the VA Medical Center until retiring in 1994. She was a member of La Mesa Presbyterian Church and has served as an elder and as a deaconess. She is survived by her four children, Wesley Merl Moore of Albuquerque and his wife, Cay, Michelle Moore Keihl of Albuquerque and her husband, Matt, Cara Moore Rafanelli of Chicago and her husband, Rick, James Eugene Moore of San Diego and his wife, Kris; eight grandchildren; a brother, Chuck McClelland of Fullerton, CA; and a sister, Sally Young of Oklahoma City, OK. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper KE with The Rev. Richard A. Pyke and The Rev. Kathryn A. Pyke officiating. A reception will be held anmediatefy following the service at the Fellowship Hall. She will be remembererd as a loving mother and a good friend; we will miss her dearly. Private committal services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. on March 19, 1996.⁵
