ALBANS — Janice Lee Tufts Goff, 62, formerly of Fayetteville and Mechanicsburg, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at her home following a long illness. Born Aug. 13, 1936, in Rush, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William E. "Ed" and Grace Burton Tufts. Mrs. Goff was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Mechanicsville, Pa. Survivors include her husband, Rodney Dalton Goff; her stepmother, Marcella Brown Tufts of Oak Hill; two sons, Kevin Scott Goff of Allentown, Pa., and Steven Edward Goff of Mechanicsburg, Pa; and a sister, Joan Mangus of St. Albans. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. David Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. on September 12, 1998.3

Born October 31, 1908, in Staffordsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late James E. and Lou White Overstreet. She was the retired owner/operator of Gore’s Department Store in Princeton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton, the Princeton Civic League, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Princeton Women of the Moose. She had lived in Princeton since 1925 moving from Staffordsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. “Pete” Gore; one brother, James Overstreet, Jr; one sister, Virginia Rhoderick, and her step mother, Minnie Mary Kahle. Survivors include: three sisters, Nell E. Olmer of Denver, Colo., Alice Jo Lucky of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Beulah "Boots” Jones of Carisle, Pa. Burial will follow in Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. on January 17, 1997.1

Gore, 76, of 348 Main St., Latrobe, died Monday, Nov. 18, 1985, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born March 11, 1909, in New Salem, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John and Olive Tracy Jordan. She worked for Western Union with over 25 years of service as office manager in Latrobe and Greensburg. Her, husband Thompson Paul Gore, preceded her in death. Surviving are one aunt, Miss Margaret Tracy of New Salem; and one cousin, Margaret Morgan of Ohio. Interment will follow in Salem View Cemetery, New Salem. on November 19, 1985.1
