     Thomas Edward "Tom" Jacobs was buried at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, Brevard Co., Florida.3 He Thomas (Jake) Edward Jacobs passed away Saturday August 26, 2017. Tom was born September 12, 1939 to the late Bernard and Melissa Jacobs. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston WVA and then enlisted in the US Navy 1956-1964. Tom married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, on February 20, 1960 and they went on to have 2 children, Tommy and Kimmy. Tom moved his family to Melbourne, FL in 1965. Where he was employed by RCA (Kennedy Space Center) and retired from United Space Alliance in 1999. From then he went on to travel with his wife. This includes one of their most memorable trips overseas, with his two brothers and their wives thru 7 different countries. He enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, and Great-grandchildren. Attending their school and sporting events was one of his favorite things. Tom also liked spending time with friends and looked forward to his frequent Wednesday luncheons with his buddies. But most of all he loved to spend time with his wife of 57 years, who was the love of his life. If they weren't traveling they were sitting at home watching TV together. TOGETHER FOREVER. Tom is survived by his wife Kathryn (Kathy) of 57yrs, Sister Bonnie (Larry) Wolfe of St. Albans WVA, Brother Chuck (Sheri) Jacobs of Knoxville, Tenn. Sister in Law Sue Jacobs wife of late Bernard Jacobs, Late Leonard "Gene" (Doris) Jacobs, Son Thomas (Dawn) Jacobs Jr, Daughter Kimberly Melton (wife) of late Rickey Melton, Granddaughter's Amanda (Brian) Bonilla, Monica (David) Lyon, Thomas (Amanda) Jacobs III, Troy Melton, Great-Grandchildren: Brian Jr, Gavin, Brody, Jaxon, Adelina, Gabriella and Brayden.
