Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem. on January 16, 2016.²

He loved to help people, wood work, and build things. He loved attending Coopers Cove Church. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by step-father, Harvey Kinsley; brother, Mark Smith; father-in-law, Landon Hall and sister-in-law, Debra Hall. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Frances Hall Smith; brothers, Timmy Smith, David Smith and David Robertson; sisters, Sally Martin, Sherrie Hughes and Mary James; mother-in-law, Carol Hall; brother-in-law, Michael Hall; many nieces and nephews.
