Chatham, wife of John Chatham, died this forenoon at her home on East Cleveland street of pneumonia resulting from grippe, aged 55 years, 9 months, and 5 days. Mrs. Chatham's illness began last Wednesday. She is survived by her husband, John Chatham, four daughters and three sons. The daughters are Mrs. Dr. L. H. Holloway, of Akron, Ohio; Mr. W. B. Holloway, Boston, Mass; Mrs. Charles Rote of Allison township; and Mrs. Cordelia E. Chatham. The sons are Ira L. Chatham, of Washington Territory; E. L. Chatham of Texarkanna, Texas; and John S. Chatham of this city. The announcement of the time of the funeral will be made tomorrow. on January 21, 1892.5

     Joseph Chatham was buried at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Geary Co., Kansas.6 He was born on February 17, 1825 at Allison Township, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania; In the 1900 Census Joseph lists his birth date as Feb 17, 1826 and his death certificate has 1824.2,5,6,8 He married Mary Quarles Wingfield on February 12, 1868 at Geary Co., Kansas.8,9 Joseph Chatham died on October 31, 1914 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, at age 89.7,8 He Joseph Chatham, for many years a resident of this city and county, died, Saturday night, at the home of his daughter in Kansas City. The remains were brought to this city, reaching here Monday morning, and the funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Will Chatham home on east 11th street, Rev. Harshaw officiating. Mr. Chatham was 93 years old, and is survived by his aged wife and two children, Will Chatham of this city and Mrs. Sam Burton of Kansas City. Mrs. Joseph Chatham was so ill at the daughters home in Kansas City was so ill at the daughters home in Kansas City that neither she or her daughter could come up to the funeral. on November 5, 1914.7

     Charles Marshall "Charlie" Simpson was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 He was born on February 7, 1952 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.1 He died on December 3, 2019 at Virginia at age 67.2 He Charles Marshall (Charlie) Simpson, 67, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 after a courageous two year fight with Acute Myloid Leukemia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus R. "Sonny" and Leo Sisson Simpson. Affectionately known to his friends as Charlie, he was a 1970 graduate of Northside High School. Following graduation he attended Virginia Western Community College. In 1973 he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served our country for four years. After completing his enlistment in the Air Force he enrolled in Piedmont Aerospace Institute to continue his education in aircraft maintenance. Upon graduation he worked for Piedmont Aviation, Piedmont Airlines and retired from U S AIrways. Golfing, reading, watching old movies, caring for his cats, and having a clean car were some of the things he enoyed in life. Surviving are his brothers, Allen (Sharon) and Carlton (Cathy) Simpson; nephews, Bradley (Ashley), Daniel (Gina), Steven (Kayla Chapman); great-nephews, Carter and Archer; and great-niece, Payton; and numerous other family members. Also surviving are his many extended family members on 10 South at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Dr. Morales and the staff at Carilion Cancer Center of Western Virginia. In Charlie's words "There is nowhere I could have gone and gotten better care by nicer people than right here". The family would like to offer a very special thank you to the staff at Valley Animal Hospital for taking such good care of Charlie's cats, Callie and Sammie. He knew he could count on you to take care of his precious cats just as he would. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on December 4, 2019.2

Funeral services will be held at the Noll Funeral Parlor at 10 o'clock Monday morning. The Rev. Rolland Ritter, pastor of the Salonia Methodist Church, will be in charge, assisted by the Rev. G. A. Duvall of the High St. Methodist Church and the Rev. E. A. Ritzman of the Grace Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill cemetery, at Cedar Springs. on July 6, 1940.5
