She was born April 25, 1947, in Magalpin, West Virginia, to William Wesley Meador and Beulah Madaline Long Meador. She grew up and attended schools in West Virginia. When she was 12, her family moved to Maryland where she graduated from Bladensburg High School in Washington, D.C. Five days after graduating from high school, she went to work for the Post Office in Washington, D.C., for 13 and a half years. While visiting her brother in Idaho Falls, she met Gary Lee Beardall whom she married Oct. 7, 1978, in Landover, Maryland. From this marriage, she also gained a 7-year-old daughter. After she got married, she made her home in Idaho Falls where she went to work at the INEEL as a Senior Administrative Secretary for 21 years. She liked spending time in her garden, cooking, crocheting, and the outdoors. Most of all, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She always looked forward to spending time with Colby and Torson, her grandsons, and was their biggest fan in all their activities. You could always count on getting a cup of coffee, a cookie, or the latest gossip if you frequented the Beardall home. She had many friends and family who loved her, and we will be better for knowing her. The family would like to thank Hospice of Eastern Idaho especially Abby and Elaine for all their special care.      William Gary Meador William Gary Meador, “Gary” was born in West Virginia on August 24 1949 to William and Madeline. In the early ‘60s the family relocated to the Washington D.C./Maryland area where he became a die-hard Washington Redskins fan. A proud Navy Veteran, he enlisted upon graduating from Bladensburg High School. While serving in the Navy, he met the love of his life Christine “Chris” Durrant whom he married in 1971. They relocated back to Chris’s hometown of Rigby where their marriage was sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. An avid sportsman and devoted father he shared his love of the great outdoors with his daughters Trista and Anitra. An ISU alumni in software programming, he relocated his family to South Florida to pursue job opportunities in his chosen field. His spirit was unwavering despite the myriad of medical issues he faced throughout his life. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, bowling and basketball. He also was a Jeep enthusiast and avid coin collector who was especially fond of his Morgan Dollars. On May 7 2019 he lost his battle and passed away. His warm smile and wry sense of humor will be greatly missed by his surviving family; his wife of 47 years Christine (Durrant) Meador; daughters Trista (Chris) Robbins and Anitra Meador; and beloved granddaughter Dylan Robbins.
