David was born August 27, 1965, in Martinsville, and was the son of Leon "Lee" Harden and Sharon Ann (Ailes) Harden. He was a graduate of Brown County High School and worked a few years for the City of Columbus before spending the last 17 years as a Designer with Weihe Engineers, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Connie (Perkins) Harden of Columbus; mother, Sharon Harden of Columbus; four children, Amanda Harden of Columbus, Joshua Harden of Springfield, MO, Delaney Harden of Columbus and Phillip "Tyler" Harden (Kirsten) of Bloomington. Also surviving are his granddaughter, Khloe Harden of Bloomington, and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Leon "Lee" Harden, and his sister, Diana Jo Harden. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. on October 31, 2014.³

Harden, 44, Columbus, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Nov. 19, 1968, in Martinsville, she was daughter of E. Leon and Sharon (Ailes) Harden. A 1986 graduate of Brown County High School, she worked for the Mentor Network as an in-home caregiver for the mentally disabled. She had been involved with Bartholomew County 4-H, American Heritage Girls and Columbus-area Home School Educators. She is survived by her mother, Sharon Harden of Columbus; her son, Dennis Harden of Indianapolis; her daughter, Delaney Harden at home; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Connie Harden of Bloomington; a niece and nephew-in-law, Amanda and Charles Pressel; two nephews and and a niece-in-law, Joshua Harden and Tyler and Kirsten Harden; and a great-niece, Khloe Harden. She was preceded in death by her father. on May 29, 2013.³
