Nancy was born on March 14, 1952 in Chicago, IL to the late Ortis and Mary (Caldwell) Thorpe. She was employed by Citrus Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist for many years. She enjoyed crafting with clay, and raising plants (actually, her family said she killed them all, but did enjoy having them!) She was an avid WalMart shopper. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Left to cherish her memory are her sons John Mayo (wife-Shannon), Hernando; her daughter Samantha Strickler; her sisters Barbara Caldwell, CA and Judy Terimino, IL; her brother Jeff Thorpe, IL; six grandchildren. James Michael "Mike" Hendrix James Michael “Mike” Hendrix, 88, of Cleveland, TN passed away on February 7, 2022. He was born on February 12, 1933 in Powell, TN to the late A.L. and Deola Hendrix. Mike served in the Navy. He was a soil conservationist for the US Department of Agriculture for 35 years. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Mike loved to work in his vegetable garden and was very generous with the fruits of his labor. He was also a member of Westwood Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Director for Many years. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Ann Hendrix. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Georgia Hendrix; two sons: Mike Hendrix (Ann) and Joseph Hendrix (Lolly); grandchildren: Amy Lynn May (Kyle), Jared Alan Hendrix (Kelly), Christopher Lee Hendrix (Britt), and Lauren Elizabeth Simpson; he also leaves behind his great grandchildren: Penelope, Harrison, Jemma, Lollie Anne, Maggie, Will, and Carter. He will be laid to rest following his service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.2 He was buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Cleveland, Bradley Co., Tennessee.2 He was born on February 12, 1933 at Powell, Knox Co., Tennessee.2 He married Georgia Carter circa March, 1957 at Knox Co., Tennessee.1,2 James Michael "Mike" Hendrix died on February 7, 2022 at Cleveland, Bradley Co., Tennessee, at age 88.

Elizabeth Ann "Annie" Hendrix Elizabeth "Annie" Hendrix, 9/8/1939 – 6/16/2014. We give thanks for having the opportunity to have known and loved Annie for many years. We especially remember the ways in which Annie loved us! Annie touched the lives of many through her teaching for 44 years at Powell Elementary School and through her ministry to generations of children at Grace Baptist Church for 46 years. Annie was a faithful member at Grace Baptist Church for 74 years. Annie lived her life with passion and energy and with an attitude of sharing her life with thousands of people. Annie was cherished by her family and by those who were especially close to her. She became known as "Grannie Annie" when the next generation of children came to know her same loving kindness as so many others had through the years before. Annie supported children all around the world in the SmileTracn Organization through monthly donations and letters. Annie is preceded in death by her mother, Deola Hendrix and father, Leroy "Papaw" Hendrix. She leaves behind her brother, Mike (Georgia) Hendrix ; nephews, Michael (Ann) Hendrix of Newman, GA and Joe (Lolly) Hendrix of Cleveland, TN; great-nephews, Jared Hendrix of North Pole, Alaska and Chris Hendrix of Old Fort, TN; great-nieces, Lauren Brod of Cleveland, TN and Amy May of Sanford, N.C; great-great-nieces, Lolly Brod of Cleveland, TN and Maggie Hendrix of Old Fort, TN; great-great-nephew, William Brod of Cleveland, TN and many cherished close friends. Family and friends will meet at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery for interment.6 She was buried at Lynch Bethel Cemetery, Knox Co., Tennessee.6 She was born on September 8, 1939 at Knox Co., Tennessee.2,4,6 She died on June 16, 2014 at Knox Co., Tennessee, at age 74.4,6
