She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield, WV, where she was president of the United Methodist Women from 1978-1981. She worked for Koppers Coal Company and Mercer County Schools, briefly. She served as a Girl Scout Leader in Kimball. Gladys was preceded in death, other than her parents, by her husband William Edgar Gray; three brothers James, John, and Richard Roberts. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Libby Vandevander (Gene) of Kimball, Jane Hanson (Mike), and Kenneth Roberts of Durham, NC. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, WV.
