He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He had served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Dan River Post 1097. He had worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Daly Seven Group. In addition to his wife of the residence, Mr. Taylor is survived by one daughter, Bonnie T. Daly and husband, Jon, of Winston-Salem, NC; three sisters, Janice Taylor Stone of Danville, Shirley Taylor Mooney and husband, Smith, of Roxboro, NC, and Dorothy Taylor Day, also of Roxboro; five grandchildren, Jon-Michael Daly, Jr. and wife, Rachel, Taylor D. Carruthers and husband, Drew, Courtney S. Daly, Huntington T. Daly and Niland L. Daly. Other survivors include three special nieces and nephew, Jacquie Wyatt, Kenneth Stone and Kevin Stone; special friend, Morris Payne, Sr. and his special companion "Mickey". Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. on May 4, 2012.2
