Hackney of Raleigh; three stepsons, Tommy Goodwin of Wendell, Herman Goodwin of Apex, and James Goodwin of Raleigh; a sister, Mrs. Novaline Bassett of Greenville, S.C; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 10 step-grandchildren. on January 16, 1990.²
