Sean Edward Kocheran1,2,3,4,5
M, b. October 18, 1970, d. January 15, 2023
Sean Edward Kocheran Sean Edward Kocheran, 52, went home to be with his Lord on January 15th, 2023, unexpectedly. Sean was born on October 18th, 1970. Sean grew up in the neighborhood of Forest Park with his father, Edgar Kocheran, mother, Darlene Kocheran, and sister, Tara Charnes (Kocheran). Sean was a loving and dedicated son and brother through his formative and later years. In his adolescence, Sean had built a lifelong friendship with his best friend, Brian Snodgrass, always running around the neighborhood, attached at the hip. Sean was always a hard worker - at the age of 16, he started working in construction with his uncle, Ray Kocheran, and cousin, Adam Kocheran, digging up concrete to help pay for his snake skin cowboy boots. Sean graduated from Northland High School in 1989. Right out of high school, Sean attended The Ohio State University and then transferred to Columbus State with a focus in Architectural Design. As Sean attended college, he continued construction work while also working in medical supplies. While navigating through his early 20’s, he married, Janice Whitt Kocheran on March 9, 1996. Soon after marriage Sean decided to venture off on his own to take over ownership of RAS Construction. While married, Sean and Janice had three handsome boys, Christopher James Kocheran (25), Kyle Patrick Kocheran (23), and Connor Charles Kocheran (17). Sean had an ability to connect with people instantly and had an uncanny eye for designing and building beautiful homes. A quote from one of his clients said, “I've been thinking a lot about all of the homes he has ‘lived in’ here in Worthington. Thinking about how many families he has blessed with spaces that make entire households run better. He's everywhere here. What an incredible legacy!” Sean had an incredible sense of humor and a way that connected with people, where work and day-to-day life blended. Most importantly, Sean was a loving and dedicated husband and father who poured his heart and soul into his family. He committed his entire life to making his boys better and always put them before anything else. He loved everyone he became close to. His legacy will live on through his sons, family, friends, community and anyone that he has come into contact with. Sean has lived in Worthington for 23 years, where he has built lifelong relationships that will forever be in people’s hearts. Sean was a Christian family man. His family was everything to him, including his mom, dad, sister/best friend Tara, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and especially his boys. Time spent with his boys was incredibly important to him, whether it be attending school events, sports that his boys were active in, fishing, hunting or just hanging around the house by the camp fire, watching movies or cooking (man could he cook). His friends were a major part of his life and were built along his journey in life. He had a love for the outdoors and fishing, which he inherited from his beloved Grandpa Bell. His fishing and hunting trips up north, out west and other places brought peace and happiness to him. He had a heart of gold and a soul that the lord blessed…man was he fun…a night out with Sean would end in seeing his rock’n dance moves (that he passed on to Chris). He always had an idea of how he could create a fun activity for the kids. He and other parents once started a club called “Monkey Warriors” where they took them on incredible adventures out west, camping and any activity that created fun and life long memories. He was a proud owner of a business and loved to have his three boys involved. He was a great teacher and instilled a hard work ethic and deep morals into them. If you ever had the opportunity to ask Sean what his greatest accomplishment was, he would tell you, his three incredible boys. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, Edgar Kocheran and Darlene Kocheran; sister Tara Charnes (Clint); nieces Taylor and Payton, nephew Caden Charnes and many more cousins, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his father-in-law Charles Whitt and 8 brother and sister-in-laws. He was welcomed to heaven by his mother-in-law, Euna Whitt, Aunt, Carol Sue Skeen, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Miriam Kocheran, his maternal grandparents, Dorothy E. Fealey, Eleanor (Sally) Bell and James A. Bell, and his cousin Adam Kocheran who he loved like a brother.5 He was born on October 18, 1970.5 He married Janice Lee Whitt, daughter of Charlie Estle Whitt Jr. and Euna N. Jones, on March 9, 1996 at Delaware Co., Ohio.1,2,3,5 Sean Edward Kocheran died on January 15, 2023 at Ohio at age 52.5
