     Joseph Robert "Bob" Richard Joseph Robert Richard, 94, of Metamora formerly of Carsonville & Roseville, died Tuesday January 23, 2024. He was born December 11, 1929 in Hamtramck to parents Joseph and Victoria (Michlash) Richard. Joe proudly served his country in the United State Navy during the Korean War. While enlisted, he married his high school sweetheart Vera M. Payne on January 26, 1952 in Angola, IN. Joe received his bachelors from CMU, later his masters from EMU – which he used both as a teacher an athletic director for VanDyke Public Schools of Warren. He did enjoy numerous years as a football and wrestling coach; he was even inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 1992. Mr. Richard was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. As well as membership with the VFW and American Legion. Joe treasured spending time with family, wood working, fishing and reading. Joe is survived by his wife: Vera Richard, children: Cheryl (Thomas) Morris, Connie Pacioni and Daniel Richard, grandchildren: Carly (& Jon), Chris (& Crystal), Chloe, Cara, Joe, great-grandchildren: Noam, Jackson, Emmie and sister: Josephine Delicato. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Cass, Clem, Ray, Anthony, Leonard, Gertrude, Sally and Bertha as well as his aforementioned parents. Joe's wife, Vera, died only 43 days after Joe.⁴ He was born on December 11, 1929 at Hamtramck, Wayne Co., Michigan.⁴ He married Vera Marie Payne, daughter of Harless Henry Payne and Lenora V.      Joyce Gertrude Outlaw Joyce G. Payne, 55, of Carsonville, died, Monday, August 19, 1991 in McKenzie Memorial Hospital, Sandusky. She was born December 4, 1935 in Detroit. She married H. Ronald Payne, December 17, 1955 in Carsonville. Mrs. Payne was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sandusky. She is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. Jim (Julie) McCullum, Minnesota; one son, Yale Payne and wife Fay, North Branch; three grandchildren, Lenny Payne, Jesse Payne, Jamie McCullum; one brother Norman Outlaw, Garden City; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.³ Her Social Security Number was 382-34-7963.² She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky, Sanilac Co., Michigan.⁴ She was born on December 4, 1935 at Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.^2,5,4,6,3 As of December 17, 1955,her married name was Payne.³ She married Harless Ronald Payne, son of Harless Henry Payne and Lenora V. She was 60. Born Sept. 16, 1941, in Annapolis, she was the daughter of the late Hampton and Lucille Spencer. She was a homemaker. Her husband of 33 years, Harless R. Payne, died Nov. 30, 1996. Mrs. Payne was a graduate of Annapolis High School. She lived in this area for 27 years moving from Annapolis. She was a member of Greensboro Baptist Church where she was an Awanas Leader. She is survived by a son, Harless R. Payne II of Ridgely; a daughter, Dawn Marie Payne Martin of Henderson; five grandchildren, Kali Rebekah Payne, Sarah Mercedes Payne, Abigail Elizabeth Payne, Jessica Ann Martin and Jenna Ann Martin. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 1, at Greensboro Baptist Church, Greensboro. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Annapolis. on October 3, 2001.²
