For many years she battled daily, numerous life threatening illnesses with great grace and dignity. (Tommy) and Karen Epperly of Christiansburg; a granddaughter and husband Kelly E. and Mike Barbour, Shawsville; two grandsons, Greg Branscome, Christiansburg, Patrick Epperly and Fiancee Cara Pasnter, Chrsitainsburg; a brother, Jones B. Childress, Christiansburg; and two sisters Sue E. Childress, Radford and Gaynell Coffery, Lakewood, Ohio; a sister-in-law and husband Joyce and Carl Mowry. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Huffman taught in the Montgomery County Public Schools for a number of years and afterward operated a private Kindergarten in Christiansburg. She had directed the Children's Choir at St. Paul United Methodist Church and was active in Methodist churches in Christiansburg, Lexington, Roanoke, and Martinsville. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Doug Kanney with burial in Sunset Cemetery.
