     Lynn Roger Handy Lynn Roger Handy, age 85, died December 27, 2024 at Lewis-Gale/Montgomery County Hospital. He was born June 5, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorsey Handy and his son Victor Handy (on Dec 23, 2024). Also preceding him in death were his brothers Carson, Jeff, Arvel, and Bobby and sisters Joann and Wanda.Roger was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Army, 1961-63. Other than his military service in Killeen, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Radford. He married his love Anna Epperly on September 7, 1962; they were happily married for 62 years. Their marriage combined two large families; Roger had nine siblings and Anna had seven. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Roger went to work at the Lynchburg Foundry and worked there for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Roger is survived by his wife Anna and his sons Brian Handy and Roy/Amie Handy; grandchildren Ainsley/Joe Posillico, Ryan Handy, Emily/Hunter Snider, Ethan Handy, and Eric Handy, and great-granddaughter Kylie Posillico. He is also survived by 3 special step-great-grandsons, Adler, Asher, and Avery Posillico. He is also survived by three sisters Dinah Handy-Hall, Dodie Herndon, and Katie Handy. He is also survived by seven Epperly in-laws: Doris/Frank Linkous, Randall/Dreama Epperly, Clara/Wendell Martin, Marie/Bill Eanes, Reba/Mike Weeks, Mike Epperly, and Loretta/Raf Bedia. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, in conjunction with those of his son Victor Wayne Handy.4 He was buried at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.4 He was born on June 5, 1939 at Max Meadows, Wythe Co., Virginia.3,5,4 He married Mary Anna Epperly, daughter of Elvin Willard "Doc" Epperly and Mary Magdalene McNeil, on September 7, 1962 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.6,1,7,2,4,3 Lynn Roger Handy died on December 27, 2024 at Virginia at age 85.4

     Victor Wayne Handy was buried at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.5 He Victor Wayne Handy, dearly beloved middle son of Roger and Anna Handy, died on December 23, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. His death occurred as a result of a massive stroke on August 15, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1966, and died at the young age of 58 years old. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Dorsey Handy, and E.W. “Doc” and Mary Epperly. Victor graduated from Radford High School in 1985, where he excelled in sports. Following his father’s example of military service, shortly after high school, he enlisted in the USAF. He served for 20 years and retired in 2005. As an airman, he served as Command-and-Control Specialist. He deployed to Desert Storm in 1990 and worked with Strategic Air Command. Following retirement, he continued working as a government contractor in Florida. Victor is survived by parents, Roger and Anna Handy of Radford, VA; brothers, Brian Handy of Radford, VA, and Roy Handy (Amie) of Christiansburg, VA; nieces, Ainsley Handy Posillico (Joe), and Emily Handy Snider (Hunter); nephews, Ryan Handy, Ethan Handy and Eric Handy; great niece, Kylie Posillico; three Handy aunts; seven Epperly aunts and uncles; and numerous Handy and Epperly cousins. The Epperly family grief is overwhelming, as Victor is the first of Doc/Mary Epperly’s 21 grandchildren to leave us. Victor will also be sadly missed by his Florida friends and coworkers. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.5 He was born on November 17, 1966 at Radford, Virginia.1,2,4,5 He married Terreca Unknown on March 3, 1990.1 Victor Wayne Handy married Cheryl Ann Virgo on July 17, 2004 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.3 Victor Wayne Handy died on December 23, 2024 at Bradenton, Manatee Co., Florida, at age 58.8,5
