     Dr. James Ivan Shelton Dr. James I. Shelton, 67, of Big Spring died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at his residence. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. James was born October 28, 1944, in Smithville, Missouri to Violet and Hubert Shelton. He grew up in Kansas City and San Antonio. James married Charlotte Borchers on September 4, 1971, in Cordell, Oklahoma. He received a Bachelor's Degree and a Masters Degree from Baylor. James graduated from Baylor Dental School in Dallas in 1973. He began his career at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Temple and then to the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Big Spring in 1974. James was a member of the First Christian Church. James is survived by his wife: Charlotte Shelton of Big Spring; two daughters: Melissa and her husband SMSgt Tim Gibson USAF, of Navarre, Florida, and Laurel Voight of Big Spring; honorary son: Cliff Lewis and his fiancée Dustin Kreitner of Austin; six grandchildren: Ashton Voight, Jordan Voight, BreeAnn Voight, Brennon Pike, Mikayle Gibson, and Maliya Gibson; mother-in-law: Martha Borchers of Clinton Oklahoma; one brother: Charles Shelton and his wife Merry of San Antonio; one nephew: Brian Shelton; and one niece: Jessica Shelton. James was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Randy Amonette, Sammy Dennard, Doug Lykken, Paschal Odom, Ross Roberts, and Ferrol Voight. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Key, Matthew Sloan, and Christian Sloan.² He was buried at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, Howard Co., Texas.^4,2 He was born on October 28, 1944 at Smithville, Clay Co., Missouri.^1,4,2 He married Charlotte Ann Borchers on September 4, 1971 at Cordell, Washita Co., Oklahoma.^4,2 Dr. James Ivan Shelton died on February 12, 2012 at Big Spring, Howard Co., Texas, at age 67.^4,2
