Christine Brown Pendleton, age 91 of Callaway Rd., Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 with her hands grasped by loved ones. A selfless woman that had no boundaries when it came to loved ones, friends and the things she was passionate about. She was a dedicated and retired employee of DuPont and faithful member of Redwood Ruritan Club for more than 20 years. Chris was a woman that when she came into people’s lives, she imprinted into yours as well as her own. She had a beautiful smile, a big heart, and a work ethic that would put most to shame. Chris was a cake and pie maker, that people would pay hundreds for and a cook whose meals would bring family and friends together. She loved to dance and it showed in her big smile and in the grace of her steps with any bluegrass song. A woman who didn’t get the opportunity to raise her own son, however she was a mother figure to so many others. She was a caregiver to her family whenever they were sick and also to friends who needed an extra hand. Chris will be deeply missed and her memory will live forever in others hearts and lives.
