She also served the Eastern Star as Assistant Lecturer. Phyllis was a DeMolay Mom to the Roanoke Valley Chapter Order of DeMolay where she was known for her tasty cheese ball that the boys affectionately named the Phyl Ball. She graduated from William Fleming High School, attended Madison College and has degrees from VWCC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Pendleton; her parents, Emory and Vivian Haga; and mother-in-law, Domna Pendleton. Phyllis is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Art Pendleton; son, Christopher Lee (Erin) Pendleton, and their children, Ella, Ryan, and Noah Pendleton all of Ashburn, VA; sister, Mary P.
