She was born January 27, 1955, to the late Dewey and Irene Thompson. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Gary N. Hamrick; and sister, Dorothy Miller. Survivors include her daughters, Marsha (Kelly) Harvey, Jessica (Doug) Albert; grandchildren, Hayden and Kinsley Harvey; siblings, Tommy (Ruby) Thompson, John ‘Port’ Thompson, Doris (David) Kirkner, Debra (Richard) Abate, Diane (Larry) Duncan; and companion, Mike Catron. He was born April 3, 1951 at Welch W.Va., a son of the late Allen Oscar and Margaret Ross Conner. He was a graduate of Carmichaels High School and Purdue University. Mr. Conner was self-employed in the aviation field. He was a former resident of Nemacolin, Pa., Chicago, and Los Angeles. He lived in Waynesburg since 1984. Mr. Conner qualified for his private pilot's license at age fifteen and was affiliated with several aviation groups. Surviving is one sister, Barbara Jean Corradi, of Lansdale, Pa; and one niece, Christina Cesira Corradi. Harold O. Kelley officiating. A committal service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2002 at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia with Rev. Drew Purcell officiating. Gearheart of 1702 Glenview Road, brother of Alfred Gearheart of Staunton, died Friday (Aug. 18, 1967) at his home. He was born in Radford, Va., on January 15, 1957, to George Nelson and Shirley Hartsock Hamrick. He was a graduate of Christiansburg High School, Class of 1975. He was employed at Volvo GM Truck Inc. for 33 years. He served in the local union 2069 for many years and most recently as a bargaining chairman. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dewey I. Thompson Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna Thompson Hamrick, of Christiansburg, Va; his two daughters and son-in-law, Marsha and Kelly Harvey, of Roanoke, Va., and Jessica Nicolle Hamrick, of Christiansburg, Va; his grandchildren, Hayden and Kinsley Harvey; his parents, George and Shirley Hamrick, of Christiansburg, Va; mother-in-law, Myrtle Thompson, of Christiansburg, Va; sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky Hamrick Gerald and Gary, of High Point, N.C., and Robin Hamrick Dukes and Scott, of Winston Salem, N.C; his sisters-in-law and brothers-inlaw, Dorothy and Billy Miller, of Pilot, Va., Doris and David Kirkner, of Pilot, Va., Debra and Richard Abate, of Christiansburg, Va., and Diane and Larry Duncan, of Christiansburg, Va; brothers-in-law and sister-in law, Dewey (Tommy) and Ruby Thompson, of Concord, N.C., and John (Port) Thompson, of Christiansburg, Va.      Danny Lee Richards Danny Lee Richards, Jun 11, 1946 - Jan 18, 2025. Danny Richards, 78, passed away on January 18, 2025, as a result of an accident. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Richards Jr. Danny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn, and his grandson, Dakota Richards, who was his pride and joy. Danny will be remembered as a kind, loving and hardworking man who enjoyed watching sports with his friends.      Mary Ann Smith Mary Ann Joyce, 69 of Floyd, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019.⁵ She was born on February 1, 1950 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,4 She married Charles Lemuel Joyce on February 13, 1966 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁶ As of February 13, 1966,her married name was Joyce.⁶ Mary Ann Smith and Charles Lemuel Joyce were divorced on June 9, 1987 at Martinsville, Virginia.⁴ Mary Ann Smith died on September 27, 2019 at Virginia at age 69.⁵

     Ettie Gay Conner was buried at Barnett Cemetery, Rt. 637, on Sisson Farm in the middle of the dairy farm, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^4,5,6,3,1,7 She was born on December 18, 1881 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,4,3,1,7 She married Omar Eldridge "Homer" Conner, son of Shelton Leek/Leak Conner and Sarah Byar "Sallie" Hall, on November 5, 1898 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,2,6,1 Ettie Gay Conner died on April 7, 1950 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 68.^5,4,6,3,1,7 She Mrs. Ettie G. Conner, 67, died early Friday morning at her home in Shawsville. She is survived by her husband , O. E. Conner; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce King, Mrs. Gladys King; three sons Ralph Conner, Billy Conner, Ivan Conner; and one brother O. S. Conner. Burial in the Barnett Cemetery. on April 13, 1950.⁶
