Slone of Goodview in Bedford County, yesterday. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cora Poff Conner of Goodview; three sons, Ernest N. and Rufus A. Conner, both of Copper Hill, and Sgt. Joseph N. Conner, Westover Air Force Base, Mass; one other daughter, Mrs. H. P. Gilliam of Kingsport, Tenn; one brother, P. N. Conner of Floyd; and seven grandchildren. on March 24, 1958.⁹ He died on March 24, 1958 at Goodview, Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 87.^6,4,7

(Delores) Bauman, Roanoke; two brothers, Calvert Conner, Roanoke; Hanford Conner, Pilot; a sister, Mrs. Uray Hale, Check; two grandsons, Michael Lynn Conner, Middletown, MD; James Marlin Conner; three granddaughters, Miss Sandra Jean Conner, Miss Debra Leigh Bauman, Miss Dana Lynne Bauman, Roanoke. Interment was in Sherwood. on October 21, 1976.⁷
