In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by five brothers, Alfred Conner, Vernon Conner, Maitland Conner, Percy Conner, and Tracy Conner; and two sisters, Audrey Callaham and Ocie Carson. Kitty is survived by her nieces and nephews, JC Conner of Cartersville, Helen Vest of Richmond, Tom Carson of Lynchburg, and Audrey Tyree of Lynchburg; and numerous great nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at Concord Cemetery. on August 16, 2017.3

She was president of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs from 1957 to 1959. While Conner was president of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, a $2,000 annual Jessie M. Conner National Council Landscape Architecture Scholarship was established in addition to an annual scholarship awarded by the Lakes and Hills Garden Club of Mount Dora. She was born in Lynchburg, and received her business education there. Conner and her husband moved to Florida in 1933 forming a successful partnership in the wholesale produce business. They retired eight years later and resided in Lake Jem at that time. Conner was presented the Blanche Covington Leadership Award, the highest award given by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, and was made honorary life president of that group and the Mount Dora club. From 1961 to 1973, Conner served as chairman of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs Headquarters Trustees and raised more than $100,000 for an endowment fund. The governor and the Florida Cabinet paid tribute to Conner at her installation in 1975, when Commissioner of Agriculture Doyle Conner made the presentation in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mount Dora. Connor is survived by her husband, Vernon sister, Fairy Farrar, Mount Dora; brother, Raymond H. McCraw, Lynchburg. on September 18, 1986.5

He proudly served eight years active and reserve duty in the US Navy, was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church and the retired owner of Classic Kitchens by Lee for over thirty years. He is survived by a son, Tracy Dean Lee (Maggie) of Salome, Arizona; a daughter, Ronda Ann Lee-Torres (Eric) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, three grandchildren; Lauren Rebecca Lee, Turner Dean Lee, and Sebastian Lee Torres. He is also survived by his step-mother Doris Lee of Kalmazoo Michigan; brothers and sisters Mary Ann Feehan, Ruth Lee, Carol Anderson, Terry Lee, Timothy Lee, Susan Marietta, Barbara Longe, and William "Ted" Lee. Preceded in death by three brothers, Donald N. Lee, Jr., Dr. James H. Lee, and Thomas S. Lee.      Lyle Thomas Tyree Jr. was buried at Fort Hill Memorial Park, 5196 Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia.4 He was born on October 13, 1939 at Lynchburg, Virginia.2,3,4 He married Audrey Virginia Carson, daughter of Allen Wilson Carson and Ocie Lillian Conner, on January 31, 1959 at Lynchburg, Virginia.1 Lyle Thomas Tyree Jr. and Audrey Virginia Carson were divorced on November 22, 1978 at Newport News, Virginia.3 Lyle Thomas Tyree Jr. died on March 19, 1997 at Augusta Co., Virginia, at age 57.4 He Lyle Thomas Tyree Jr., 57, of Rt. 3, Box 359R, died Wednesday (March 19, 1997) at Augusta Medical Center. He was born Oct. 13, 1939 at Lynchburg, a son of Lyle Thomas Tyree Sr. and Margaret (Wood) Tyree. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Newport News and an agent for Piedmont Airlines. He was a former member of the Campbell County Rescue Squad. He was a veteran of National Guard, Air Force and Naval Reserve. In addition to his mother, surviving are a son, Keith E. Tyree of Staunton; and two grandchildren. A service will be conducted at at Fort Hill Memorial Park. on March 22, 1997.4
