Martha Ann "Marti" Gibson was buried at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.4 She was born on January 4, 1942 at Radford, Virginia.3,4 As of May 1, 1965,her married name was Carr.3 She married Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Carr, son of Philip Burton Carr and Ilene Whitenack, on May 1, 1965 at Norfolk, Virginia.1,2,3,4 Martha Ann "Marti" Gibson died on April 15, 2017 at Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia, at age 75.4 She November 4, 1942 - April 15, 2017. Martha Gibson (Marti) Carr, 74, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her home in Dublin. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. Marti worked many years as a medical records transcriber. She also worked as a credit card administrator and administrative assistant for Hercules/Radford Army Ammunition Plant and Alliant Tech, retiring with 28 years of service. Marti was an accomplished artist and loved all kinds of craft work. She was an avid scrapbooker and spent countless hours socializing and scrapbooking with many beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James G. Gibson Sr. and Geneva Nelson Gibson; brothers, James L. Gibson Jr. and Jerry D. Gibson; and brother-in-law, Philip B. Carr Jr. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Ronald "Ron" L. Carr of Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Wesley Vest of Newbern; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony T. "Terry" and Sonia Carr of Salem; grandchildren, Tya and Breeana Carr of Salem, and Aaron, Tommy and Erika Vest of Newbern; brother and sister-in-law, Larry D. and Cynthia Gibson of Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Louise Yvonne "Vonnie" and Thomas Gaines of Charleston, S.C; special sister-in-law, Reba Akers of Elliston; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery Volunteers, Laying of the Wreaths Program, P.O. Box 11373, Blacksburg, Va., 24062-1373. The Carr family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia. on April 16, 2017.4

Christeen Rebecca Hunley was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.2 She Christeen "Granny" H. Wickham, 92 of Roanoke, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Katherine Hunley, her husband, Raymond Wickham, two grandsons, Adam Wickham and David Wickham, and a great grandson, Zachary Short. Christeen was a long standing member of Rockingham Court United Methodist Church. Before getting married and settling down to have a family, Christeen worked for the Dept. of the Navy at the Pentagon. A faithful Christian woman and loving mother, she is fondly remembered as "Granny" to everyone who met her. Christeen is survived by her seven children, Reginald Wickham (Teresa), Regina W. Short (Randy), Royce D. Wickham (Kathy), Roger D. Wickham (Ronda), Roy D. Wickham (Michele), Rebecca D. Milliner, Ronald "Ronnie" D. Wickham (Theresa); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives. A special thank you to Amy Short and Chris Wickham for their dedication and care for Granny during her illness. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Rev. Nathan Colwell officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.2 Her married name was Wickham.1 She married Raymond Lawrence "Ray" Wickham, son of James Edward Wickham and Thelma Mae/May Gilmore.1,2 Christeen Rebecca Hunley was born on February 22, 1928 at Roanoke, Virginia.3 She died on July 17, 2020 at Virginia at age 92.2
