Mrs. Creger was born and raised in California graduating with a degree in Radiologic Technology. She was the Director of Radiology at Lancaster Community Hospital for over 20 years before retiring and moving to Harrisonburg, Virginia. She later went back to work as a Mammography Imaging Technician at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg until retiring a second time and moving to Mt. Pleasant, SC to be closer to family. Mrs. Creger, a dedicated mother and grandmother who was active in the community, her church and Meals on Wheels. She was also an avid gardener and loved to travel both locally and internationally. Mrs. Creger was married to the "love of her life" Leo Clyde Creger, Jr. on August 23, 1943 until Mr. Creger passed away on October 3, 1987. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Ann Creger. Surviving are: her children, Christine L. Grill (Damion) of Prescott, Arizona, Leo C. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Bickford; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Sproles of Fayetteville; four brothers, William of Summersville, Frank of Whitesville; and Robert and Arthur, both of Beckwith; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Carlisle of Dehue and Mrs. Florence Jones of Illinois. Burial will be in Highlawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. on October 30, 1962.⁴
