Neil was a member of the Fork Mountain United Methodist Church and loved his family, friends, bluegrass music, hunting, racing, driving fast cars and building motors. Neil was a faithful supporter of the Franklin County Relay for Life. He brought love, job and laughter to everyone he met. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Kermit and Lucy Holcomb, Reggie and Mearl McGhee. Surviving are his daughter, the light of his life, Vandalina Manhattan Holcomb; parents, K. Wayne and Sherry Holcomb; brother, Kenneth W. Holcomb, Jr. (Barbara); sister, Sarah H. Campbell (friend, Kenny Weddle); sister, Mearl "Buggs" M. Boswell (Lee); brother, Reggie R. McGhee (Jenny); nieces and nephews, Blake Holcomb (Katie), Beth H. Adkins (Chris), Kimberly Holcomb, Daniel Buckner, Lenzie Boswell, Emily Boswell and Mahaley McGhee; special friends, Richard, Stacey, and Verity Stanfield; and his numerous friends and buddies too many to name but will never be forgotten. The family would like to say thanks for the thoughts and prayers from Neil's many friends he met along the way. The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Schertz, his staff and the nurses on the 10th floor oncology at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their care and kindness. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. on November 30, 2009.⁶

     Patricia Ann "Pat" Brown was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 She was born on September 3, 1935 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^2,4 As of June 27, 1953,her married name was Trenor.⁴ She married Leo Bazil Trenor on June 27, 1953 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,4,7 Patricia Ann "Pat" Brown died on November 25, 1993 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 58.³ She TRENOR, Patricia Brown, ("Pat"), 58, of Roanoke, died Thursday, November 25, 1993 in a local hospital. She was co-owner of Anchor Sales and Service, Inc. Surviving are her husband, Leo B. Trenor; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark A. and Tenita Trenor, Mikel L. and Sheryl Trenor, all of Salem; grandchildren, Abby Trenor, Nathan Trenor; mother, Esther V. She was born on June 20, 1939, daughter of the late Esther Mae Vest Brown and Damon David Brown. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Trenor. Jean was retired from Kroger and Roanoke City Schools – Bus Services where she served as a special needs bus aide. She was a member of Layman Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Ann M. Durham (Mike); sons, David W. Dearing (Michelle) and Jeff S. Dearing (Melinda); sister, Shelley Wainwright (Jack); seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Versal Dearing.
